Q) What do you mean when you said Peltastaās thrown shield may disappear? Is it going to really disappear from Equipment UI?
A) If you donāt pick it up within a limited time, then it will disappear from Equipment UI. I think this much risk was needed when we allowed Peltasta, which is a melee class, to engage in long range attacks.

This is from Aug 11, 2014 (it was the only official discussion I could find on the subject), so it is very possible it has changed since then. We need someone from CBT or IMC to clarify what ādisappear from Equipment UIā actually means because it is pretty ambiguous.

there is a video of CBT2 where a Peltasta was testing Shield Lob skill and the shield did disappear from inventory.
