Thoughts with priest 3 and help to decide new

In the master of cleric realm. @Wurmheart I need thee. again(I have read your super awesome detailed guide but still can’t decide :sob: )

Okay, so I have been playing chaplain since OBT and due to ‘balancing’ with stone skin which doesn’t give me more block anymore and everyone is a chaplain now, I am torn between to keep my chaplain or switch to something else. I know it got stronger but it’s dillema that stone skin changed.

My playstlye is, I’d like to try more flexible as possible(duh everyone wants it I know) but with 2/3 supporting 1/3 damage. so in order its:

  1. Invulnerability
  2. damage. I do know that damage is necessary
  3. buffs

Stone skin doesn’t give me block anymore and I can’t block those freaking knockback.

I got miko as well and I don’t want release it. so far if I should keep priest 3, then it’s Cl 2 - Pr 3 - miko - X - X

And also for diev, it seems very nice on supporting side but it doesn’t offer much for damage.So, it should be Cl 2- Diev 3 - Miko - X - X

Inquisitor is okay although it locked me to Chaplain as R7 which comes with meta build. Good offensive but not too much for defensive but if possible, I’d like to avoid this build

As for diev side, it usually ends with PD2 which is also everyone already have it and I prefer not to go with PD2

Soo, any ideas to fill another R6 and R7? please make it limited to those 2 builds I mention above.

cleric2 priest3 miko krivis taoist
Its full support build. Your dmg only comes from miko hamaya, and zaibas (if you want). Really great for Earth Tower since you would be ET slave with Taoist’s Dark Sight.

cleric2 priest3 miko oracle kabbalist
Its total support. Great for pvp, and pve (only supporting tho). Your dmg only comes from miko hamaya, and r7x (if reflected).

cleric2 priest3 oracle kabbalist inquisitor
Embrace the pvp meta. Can support, healing, and even kill in pvp. Crap damage in pve tho. Main damage is from inquisitor.

Forgot to be more specific.

Just in case someone wondering, I didn’t say I don’t want PD or inquis. I just want to avoid if possible

I mostly do these:
Normal grinding = bossing =dungeons =Uphills=saalus > ET(got sick of daily ET at midnight) > PvP(never do PvP)

Although none of them seems fit what I seek.
In before, I can throw Cleric 2- priest 3 -chaplain -oracle - miko (and it was hella awesome at support and rely damage from hamaya got fixed duration 8 sec and kinda expected it will be fixed)

first one I don’t find krivis appealing anymore. Daino is scollable and zaibas is…well IMC’s fault.
The second one is close. but yeah, I really lack damage in that way…
The third one is definitely for PvP which unfortunately I am not doing it.

I have reset event on INA tos atm and I’ll give a shot for Cl 2 - Diev 3 - Miko - PD - Inquisitor

Edit:screw that. I forgot to include priest as I don’t want to miss resurrection and get free double damage from low lv blessing. I’ll try Cl 2 - Diev 3 - PR - PD - Miko

Weapon wise, I have windia rod but have skull smasher recipe so will get that skull smash someday
Stat wise, If I keep my priest, I definitely want full SPR. If I go diev, I’ll mix those stat CON INT and SPR to my liking

Which one do you prefer?
Solo, party, or both?

Cleric2 diev3 miko pd inqui is okay. Its good on pve, got all skills to damage. Its kinda jack-of-all-trades because of mixed phys and magic skills. I suggest go blunt weapon. Stat could be full con or int con.

Question is, isn’t 1/3 damage already covered by Miko alone? Gohei level 5 has a decent damageoutput with low CD time, you also have Hamaya and Exorcise, Cure and Heal to deal damage…

If that’s enough for you, how about going for Pardoner 2? You get a debuff time increase (Discerning Evil), the ability to cure status ailments/mob monsters with Indulgentia and could even set up a spell shop when you log out to sell your Blessing for some bonus income/sell Monstrance scrolls on the market.
When Rank 9 comes out, you can go forward and choose a new Rank 9 Class to complement your skills, since there will most certainly be useful supportive/damaging Classes featured.

If you don’t feel that you have enough damage,you could also opt for Monk/Bokor C1 [combined with Inquisitor/Taoist ,but that’s way too mainstream and kinda boring I think]or C2…
Bokor would offer the most versatibility (+another possible invulnerability skill) and damage.
Taoist would offer the best possible damage boost exploitation of your Blessing (Creeping Death Charm is a high hitcount damage skill) and more useful damage/buff skills at Circle 2.

Don’t take Kabbalist C1, it’s bad. People always talk about how good Kabbalist C1 is but it’s just for showing-off in PVP. PVE-wise it’s trash supportwise and damagewise.
Kabbalist only shines from C2 onwards, making you feel that you’ve wasted a Rank for some lackluster Ein Sof and Revenged Sevenfold if you only take one Circle of it.

Hmm… I guess it’s true. Maybe because I am used to play chaplain and it’s weird to have burst damage rather than constant damage… I’ll consider this statement.

I believe there are better classes to pick. I mean, DE is flawed as it’s really situational and more useful on bossing where we got tons of debuff while all those DPS can kill mobs fast IMO.
indulgentia is just another filler. As SPR doesn’t provide status prevention anymore, prophecy and bloodletting become more useful even for myself. and lastly, I would leave pardoner competition to those pardoner 2 shops(Hey I never see pardoner 3 anymore and I concur there are better choices)

IMO bokor is alright but I also feel that bokor should be bokor 3 for full potential which is unfortunately out as well. Monk is also lackluster without monk 3 and it’s STR/DEX too.

why not peek inside class synergy instead of how many ppl playing it?

chaplain is priest c4, u can pick r7 chaplain on cleric2-diev3-miko

if u are looking for “Invulnerability buff”

diev3 have ausrine that grant Invulnerability buff

druid2-3 have sterea trofh

cleric have safety zone

if this is for DPS, then I am leaning towards to follow meta builds to ensure I can get best DPS as possible. But cleric can get away with supporting role which I’d like to try.
Yeah, I did think that druid 2 but then I guess I’ll pick priest 3

Okay so damage wise, is acceptable but weaker than PD 2(hell yeah gohei is actually awesome to replace hamaya). Support wise is stronger but I didn’t realize that healing factor has healing cap and flawed without PD 2…
Anyways, I’ll keep trying and see what I can come up with.
