Thoughts on the combat-rebalance

Pros:

-More People playing. Yesterday I automatched with a team of 5 in like 2-3 minutes for Saalus without shouting or anything. This is the first time I found other people auto matching for it so it was nice.
-Better frame rate compared to before.
-Easier way to gain relatively endgame gear. For example the blue HG equip are easily obtainable by casual players.

Cons:

-Some classes got screwed by this update. Won’t point any fingers but safe to say my main got screwed.
-Game is getting more and more P2W. Stuff like diamond anvil and lv10 gem abrasive just serve to increase the power gap more and more between whales and casuals.
-PvP is a complete mess now. I mean it was a mess before, but now it’s even more of a mess.

Pros:

• Scaling fixed, for most of the part.
• Good changes overall.
• Better client performance.

Cons:

• Reset event only lasted 2 weeks while k-test still keeps pumping out major changes (nerfs).
• Too many nerfs on top of nerfs for certain classes.
• Stats and defenses almost pointless.
• Pay to win more obvious.
• Uncertainty of future content.

Right…the reason I didn’t change my main even though it’s only a shadow of its former self is because I think that the top performing classes right now will get nerfed later down the road.

As balance changes in MMOs are always on-going.

I like how they changed the game to be a fun PVE experience

The changing of scaling and monster damage and the def and atk formulas makes it really fun to play and kill monsters just for the fun of it with whatever build you have.

PVP seems to be a joke now and I doubt its going to ever be fixed because clearly IMC is going down the pay 2 win path with the diamond anvils, these things shouldnt even exist in a game with limitless enhancing

Oh yea for sure, the power gap needs to be limited in some way at least for TBL.

Overall good job on the update I’d say. Just sad about my main getting gutted xD. Hope you guys can deliver a good update for PvP as that is the true endgame for me and many others.
