Thoughts on my dragoon build/s?

Ok I just figured out there’s a forum for these kind of questions

i wanted to go for either one of these builds

reasoning behind barb c2 instead of cataphract is that helm chopper seems to do more burst dps

not sure if pouncing is more valuable in pvp, i kinda prefer this build more, not sure how much dps i lose.

i have some questions:

  1. goin for paltesta would mean i can’t use spells with cast time since mobs are attacking me, right? (dragon tooth)
    that’s atleast why i favoured swordman c2.

  2. does gung ho/concentrate also increase my damage from skills? if i remember correctly concentrate only increases damage from autohits

  3. any stats suggestions?

1st build :
The only skills you can use while mounted are Helm Chopper, War Cry, Frenzy, Pouncing while mounted.

You can’t use Cyclone while mounted. Doppel doesn’t work with Cata.

Don’t grab Embowel. It’s crap. Slow animation, low damage, unusable in mount.

As for Stomping Kick, you will rarely use it later on. It’s mostly for more damage source at early game.

If you don’t go Cata, but you go for Barb, then get Cleave at high level. Seism is also a must because of its large burst damage. Frenzy isn’t that powerful at lv 5, but more patk doesn’t hurt.

2nd build :
Similar comments as 1st.
And I will never recommend Swordsman c2 to anyone personally.

Going for Peltasta changes nothing. You can still use Dragontooth just fine. Where did you get that information anyway? :disappointed_relieved:

PvP? DEX first, STR CON second.

wait why doesn’t doppel work with cata?


i thought only c2 doppel doesn’t work with cata.

Doppel works, but not optimal because you can’t use Cyclone.
If there is any reason why ppl bother to go Doppel, it’s for Cyclone.

Punish and Mordschlag are bad.

Punish, usable only when you knockdown your opponent. The thing is, if you succeed in knocking down your opponent, you will immediately use either Earth Wave, Doom Spike, Serpentine, Dragontooth that clearly have more damage output. Punish’s damage is also mediocre.

Mordschlag, average damage, longer cooldown compared to other skills you have, and you will rarely use it especially after you hit Dragoon.

damn totally misread that i can’t use cyclone while mounted

i’ll have to stick with cata though, i believe impaler is too good of a cc to pass on

so it’s either barb c3 or hoplite c3? (with cata)
not sure if i’m valuing helm chopper too high in pvp

True. Level 1 is enough.

Hop is preferrable (Finestra ftw), but you won’t be able to get Dragoon or Cata c3 if you go Hop 3.

i wanted to leave cata at c1, then it should work
