Thoughts on iCBT2 announcement?

Feel free to move this if it’s in the wrong section, wasn’t 100% on it.

Just wondering what some users thought about the announcement everyone’s been waiting for.

Mine are just this:

It’s nice to see no limit on the testers.I know some people were unable to test with friends,SO’s,and family they wanted to,so this solves that problem it looks like.My only hope is that they’re actually prepared for the user volume. We had a delay getting into the game first test, and that was with a limited number,so I would expect a bigger delay for sure.

Also,3 AM EST is quite late at night for a launch,so I may not even be up for that due to work.Naturally I wish it was earlier, but it’s not a huge concern for me.

Please feel free to comment on what you think about it,expect from it,plans, etc.

I honestly think that 3am is the perfect time for a launch. The die hard people who want to play will be in the instant servers go up (barring any log in queues/crashes that might happen.)

It’ll give those die hard players the time to get through the lower level zones quicker and move on. Then, when the people who opted to sleep/go to work/school log in, the lower zones wont be as congested.

Props to IMC for not giving us a noon time launch.

Exactly ^ what he/she said

20 Double Punches Limit to the face

might soften the clog of everyone trying to get on at once. Also its a month long beta so not playing the first night is not a big deal.

It might, but I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.But I wouldn’t muddy it up by adding how much anyone is devoted to the game.I don’t think that has any relevance.

For me,the unlimited beta key give away seems like a big stepping stone to test the server.
Although not all that sign up for the beta key would be playing, still…I was hoping they will distribute the key
by phases.Regarding the timing,I agree with @the57thbutton. Takes turn between player, lol

I’ll be sleeping during that time so I won’t be on when everyone is going crazy trying to log into the server.

i’m so happy i have that week off work, wasn’t expecting them to announce the beta to start until the last day of the month~

It’ll be 7pm for me

That’s why you should always keep your expectations for the end of the month so that you won’t go crazy waiting

After all the dust has settled, it’s looking really good.

Only the 2nd CBT and already, it seems, they want to stress test the server and see how it copes under the load. To me, that’s a few giant steps closer to OB/release.

I keep repeating myself in other threads but I can’t say it enough - IMC are really showing how it’s supposed to be done.

Yup you rarely see games where everyone can participate in the Beta

It was about time, and the unlimited number of testers is a good plus to the deal. I have some hardcore players friends that could not play with me last beta, instead my casual friends did, so I didn’t really played with them, since I was 50 levels ahead by the time they logged in again.

I still have the old ToS client, are we still gonna use it and just update it or do I need to uninstall it and wait for a new client to be downloaded when iCBT2 is near?

time to pull an all-nighter

We’ll be able to update our client in a patch.I imagine they’ll release more details closer to the date.

Exactly.

I will start the game up when i’m back from work etc.
No need to rush at second one xD, just to be number one guy.
Or have an good grinding spot foryourself… to get ahead of people.
