This patch just broke my game, disconnection issue, dxsetup missing (silute)

24/1/2017 after the patch note with the new survival instinct event, everything was fine in 23/1/2017.

Description :

i was playing mercenary mission and i got disconnect because the maintenance, today with the patch a got a message “dxsetup missing” i could be able to play but i get disconnections all the time and i can’t even go to dungeons because i lost my exp, I have verified my internet connection, reinstalled the game, unistalled all my third party programs, deleted my folder in steam directory and installed game again, dxsetup error again but only the first time, my directx is up to date, tried to open the dxsetup inside TOS folder and nothing.

Steps to reproduce the issue :

1. log in

2. play between 4-10 min

3. disconnect

4. lost my exp in dungeon.

help me guys.

Well… you could try reinstalling directx.

Otherwise, I’d try defragging the disk, verifying steam cache, looking for obscure entries in the registry (but I don’t think ToS uses the registry), and uninstalling both dx and ToS then rebooting the computer and reinstalling.

i checked the steam cache and told that 13 archives were missing and started to download it again.

i don’t understand how this work because i reinstalled the game, deleted my tos folder and able to go to game how 13 were missing, i did it before uninstall the game and only 3 were missing before.

it looks like defragging the disk will take time.
