I’ve been playing the Korean Closed Beta over the past few days while browsing these forums. Ragnarok Online =/= Tree of Savior and I would hate to see complaints this week from people saying “This isn’t RO2.” “Why is this game so different?” etc. From classes, story quest, to even mechanics, These game is it’s own thing.

With that said, after playing Tree of Savior I have enjoyed the game a lot but I uninstalled it since I got accepted into the English Closed Beta. On my opinion, the game is very good, the music is amazing (as it should be). Mages are awesome, Archers are very good for those who like to attack fast with range, and Swordsmen are all around badass. I didn’t tried PvP since I feel like when it comes to PvP you need good communication and well I can’t type on Korean to do so haha.

What I am trying to do is more like a warning to those who will be playing this game in the next few days, Don’t log in with a mentality that this game is Ragnarok Online. Instead log in with an open mind of expecting a new game. Because that is what this is a new game known as Tree of Savior. Because if you do otherwise, you will be disappointed.

I didn’t played clerics since I rarely play healing classes. So I didn’t want to give my opinion on something I haven’t tried.

Its ok. It has all the features I love and creators I adore. SoundTeMP on music, 2d on 3d, Maggi An Jeong-won’s art. I don’t need a carbon copy or continuation of R.O. I just need this team working together on another awesome game! Here it is! I can’t wait.

Ragnarok was, infact, a good game in it’s time, but a new game with similarities should not be perceived with regards that may be or is the predecessor. As someone above said, people should have an open mind to this new title, regardless of its similarities.

Also Ragnarok Online 2 was just Fiesta Online with “Ragnarok” themed world… and in my personal opinion doesn’t measure up to the success of the first installment.

Thank goodness. Ragnorok Online kind of sucked, if not for the community and private servers that adjusted a lot of the nonsense. Also, the most fundamental difference is probably that this game uses keyboard control. No mouse movemen

I dislike when I listen “It’s like a X or Y on Ragnarok” or “I hope it be look like a Z from Ragnarok”

It’s is another game!
You can just call it the Spiritual Successor, just.

Even the little I’ve seen of this game’s playstyle makes it quite clear it is like Ragnarok only in its presentation. The core mechanics and basic movement are completely different and so far it looks considerably slower, but I haven’t seen high-level play and “slower than Ragnarok” isn’t saying much.
