Is Cripple worth the upgrade if you are a DEX build with no STR Lancer. Current weapon is a Catacombs pike.
A matter of preference, in exchange for crit rate you get more raw physical damage.
The slow effect synergizes well with dragoon multihit skills, but you will rarely see it proc. but then again you might want more crit too boost that dethrone damage.
my lancer uses cripple, while my dragoon uses cata pike.
Iām waiting for the equipment section (armor TBH). Iām a foot Dragoon but Iād like to know what would work for high evasion and high pdef since Iām not familiar with new R8 items and we have similar DEX.

Thereās Manahas set, Hasta set (lots of CON in the Hasta plate set) and another good one AFAIK. Iāve been using Shade top, bottom, sup bandit gloves and grynas greaves for high evasion (I have pelt so I can really dodge most attacks and I have no trouble hitting people) but I wanted to get a plate top and 3 leather pieces to keep high evasion. Leather top seems suicide with Dethrone and Balestra around. Hasta set drops from new WB IIRC.

Cloth is great against fencers and dragoons but catagoons would get a huge bonus on their Rush and Iām trying to avoid that. Most foot goons miss me or donāt have Iron Hook so I can deal with them. Catagoons are a nightmare because they can position themselves faster and itās a pain in the ass to hook a cata with uptime trot playing in keyboard mode. I rarely miss a hook against most people but I rarely hook a cataphract. Manual block doesnāt help me either (too much block pen). They are the only ones giving me a reasonable trouble right now.

Looks like itās the upgrade to demonas gauntlets, so the effect is probably the same. Might just be a bug that it currently doesnāt work with rush atm?
Rush is buggy. It canāt be cancelled with Iron Hook. I hate it

Donāt! DS is inferior to EW.
Earth wave has a bigger aoe, more aoe ratio, lower cooldown and itās your only viable strike damage source. Also, it charges much much faster than DS and has a lower snap back time haha.
Max EW, it stays relevant for quite a while.

No kidding! Itās also pretty good at disrupting ausrine if theyāre slow. Hit them all at once, if you see most are knocked down go Rushāem, if not, run away xD

Yeah, Iām a dragoon c2 now. Whenever I see no Kab, I just dethrone on the largest group I can, if theyāre using Aus, theyāll all be in the the aoe range.
Also, when chasing archers with high evasion, use your multi-hit skills. 1 hit Serpentine debuff ā 3hits of Dragontooth has a good chance of taking them down, but a missed dethrone just letās them take you down.
The only things that are really impossible to deal with are subzero shield and r7x. Youāll have to bite the bullet unless a cleric on your team is their direct counter.
Was already leaning to maxing EW, just from the PvE usage.
