This is how I believe the class structure should start out

Is it just me or would the game be more fun if they moved all the Rank2 classes into the Rank1 slots, and when making your archtype (ie:warrior, mage, support/hybrid) type class you could choose right from the get-go.

For example, why force us to go Cleric as our starting class, the game would be equally balanced allowing us to choose from Cleric, Krivis, or Priest and allow us to progress from there, same for Wizard, and Swordsman.

I recommend bringing back the Novice class from RO, and allowing us to reach job lv10 through the tutorial, then once getting to town allow us to choose between either Swordsman, Highlander, or Peltasta as our Rank1 class.

I personally feel like this will make the early grind more enjoyable, progressing through classes a little faster, and balance out the builds when more mid to end-game classes start to flesh out.

For example, Rank 1 wizard skills become completely useless when later high ranks become available, and your rank1 wizard skills aren’t even on your hotbar anymore. Now I’m not saying Wizard is a useless class, they have probably the best CC in the game, and I’m sure Wizard C3 in PvP would be pretty good, but not every build needs the Wizard abilities. The same could be said with Cleric, not every class later on might want Cleric ability, but rather have an early Priest, or Krivis starting skills.

I dunno about that. I have though similar things, such as having more options at the start (i want 2 handed spears without getting to lvl 85) or dual wielding (lvl 120) But classes are made so that each rank they get stronger, so this wouldnt be viable without alot of balancing. I had also considered having “mixed” classes, like a spellblade that could be rank X for both mage and swordman, or paladin as a Rank X Swordman / Cleric, and so on. You could have Rogue as a Swordman / Archer.
BUT i think those are just fun things that would be cool and i would much rather they focus on the core things that could make the game more fun.
