Does anyone have any information about that? thanks
Nobody knows beside IMC.
Even IMC themselves may not know, itâs still in the development stage and some things are just undecided or not even within the field of consideration, yet.
Why is everyone so into war/GvG/PvP?
RO is RO.
WoW is WoW.
GW is GW.
SAO is SAO.
etc, etc.
ToS will be ToS. The lore is less about PvP and more about PvE. There isnât even âterritoryâ (read: NO CASTLES) that can be fought over with in this game, if there was weâd know about it already.
@AmenoMiragu
If youâre really curious, I expect for the most part itâs because they enjoy them.
My reason is because the price of gas is going up.
p.s. We could get territories without castles and stuff. Not unheard of.
Many people agree like myself but no matter what you or others write they will always be people like Wallace_debiase1.So itâs kinda pointless showing them that this isnât WOW /RO /GW / SOA they will always want certain features from other games.
I donât blame them because games due sometimes use other features from previous games and do well. And itâs natural for people to see a game and canât help to suggest features of another game they like be implemented into the new game their playing.
In addition, many MMO has the PVP feature so itâs more than normal for people to be into it.
Because a game without war/GvG/PvP is boringâŚ
There are people who loves to show their character progression by fighting other players rather than killing AI monsters⌠That is really BORING⌠
I agree that is why most MMO has PVE content and PVP content. You can even create a RP content in the game if you like.
Thanks for all the feedback, but I think itâs bad to have no war system because it is the most fun part of the game, getting just killing monsters makes the game boring ⌠
No War =/= No PvP. There is already an Arena-system for players to challenge each other in.
I question the demand for open war/PK systems because it destroys the feel of the ToS world that the devs spent so much time making.War and PK might be appropriate in a warring environment such as WoW, but it has no place in ToS loreâŚyet
It is very unhealthy to assume all MMOâs should focus on the PvP experience (sorta like saying all videogames should focus multiplayer instead of singleplayer).
Letâs face it, in the end in a PvP-centric game the whales win/get to destroy other players b/c they spent the most time/money maxing their character out. I donât know why weâre all trying to rush to this conclusion.
Or⌠you know, practicing. Improving their skills. Things.
You can spend your time questioning why while assuming that the outcome is always âwrongâ or âbadâ, youâll probably not get very far anytime soon.
How about considering the reasons why it would be a good thing, first?
(thatâll, usually, at least give you a few answers to your question of why)
Sorry to burst your bubble but there is going to be some sort of war PVP
Tournaments can be participated in both single and party mode and if you win a tournament, you will get to keep the trophy until the next tournament. We are also preparing large scale PvP contents which lots of users can participate together.
It will be a thing eventually, keep in mind that it took YEARS before WOE came to RO. For almost 3-4 years the game was purely pve. Starting to work on PVP when your game as no pve end-game and is badly balanced is asking for trouble.
One can imagine several reasons why it would be logical to do so.
A) It was planned from the start.
B) You donât have any good plans for end-game PvE, but want to keep progress going.
C) There is excess resource, which is then spent on PvP.
A) Planning something from the start doesnât mean you have to work on it anytime soon, all things in order.
B) If you have no good plan for end-game PVE you can just save yourself the trouble and cancel the game while youâre ahead of yourself.
C) In what world do F2P mmo devs have excess resources.
@Rennie245
None of those things actually tell me that what I said canât be the case.
Sure, then. Take it how you will. (?)
Except for this one.
C) There should be no such thing as 100% efficiency when it comes to manpower. I:
They seem to be convinced that they are capable enough of it that theyâre willing to mention the possibilities.
It may very well be true. Consider that they can, since youâve already considered that itâs âasking for troubleâ.
Itâll cover the bases. (unless youâre completely against it or something, in which case, back to (?))
please make the war like Guild Wars 2
Lately people are kinda talking bout pvp / gvg and the likes while Iâm here wishing for these stuff.
- Farming / animal raising.
- Housing
- Different mounts per class. (Not battle pets).
- Merchant class.
They have plans for large scale pvp, theyâre planning the details
pk? probably not
Not surprising considering the man making the game had his hand in woe. But woe aside i love me large scale pvp wars over castles i feel like it adds more of a purpose to guilds other then having a reliable raid group.
The game also seems well suited for such a feature so makes sense to me.
