This game is Sexist

One thing I will not tolerate though is the removal of the panty shots most classes have, those are there by design and aside from uppity people not wanting to look at them do not decrease the effectiveness of those specific classes. They are not obligated to make ‘‘male’’ versions of pantyshots either, and for that matter sexualizing males the same way you sexualize females rarely works out but that’s an entirely different discussion.

All it takes is a bunch of like-minded people to get together and start baying at IMC.

While I don’t think the entire game is sexist because of a price difference between male and female hairstyles, I think the prices should be equal, because, yeah, they’re all cosmetics.

“THIS GAME IS SEXIST.” <----- it’s all gonna start here.

First the cosmetics prices get evened out.

Then, away go the panty shots, because a bunch of people got offended.

After that, who knows what else?

The problem is the hairstyles is a legitimate unfairly thought out thing. Female characters are literally given a harder time getting hairstyles -just because they are female.-.

Pantyshots DO NOT do anything of this sort, your class is still just as effective, in fact arguably more effective because they lower my attention span and it makes me easier to hit in PvP

If developers want to design sexy females for their games, yet still make them just as effective as male characters, no one has a right to take that decision away from them, and telling them ‘‘Well, you have to design a bunch of ugly dude butts the same way, it’s like, totally equal even though it’s totally different!’’ isn’t proving anything.

The way the skirts flip around and how many of the animations put great detail on panty shots shows that they actually really put a lot of work into it and I think they look very nice, nicer than most games with random panty shots.

Don’t take away muh panties.

All the male and female costumes are all the same price, so the hair should also be the same price. It’s kinda weird pricing choice when one thinks a bit more about it. Why just the hair?

I’m seeing the OP as a satirical poke at the stupid price difference.
Now if anyone ACTUALLY believes the game is sexist… shakes head

statistics… more players play female characters.

Its just a market strategy with majority of players playing female characters in every mmo

True. I think female outfits should cost more too. In fact, I think NPCs should also charge you a bit more if you’re female. The market should add a 30% tax to every purchase you make.

Don’t you agree?

That would be an incentive for men to finally play as men indeed.

As far as I know a lot of games include market tax and nobody complains about that, however it’s not as high as you proposed.

This is a role-playing MMO, and as far as I remembered it’s a video game. You have no business policing the gender people feel like playing as.

You might as well try to make players pay 10$ to be able to change their bodies to be slim and muscular or curvey because it would be an incentive for ugly people to finally play as ugly people indeed.

This is bad marketing, especially in the Western market and nothing can defend it.

I was responding with sarcasm to sarcasm.
Hope it clears things up for you.

Bottom line is this, they can do with cash shop whatever they feel like doing.
Perhaps it took more time to draw female sprite than male sprite. There could be 1000 different reasons as to why female hairpiece would be at a different price.

This thread is perfect example of Poe’s law.

There are 999 excuses as to why it costs more but the reality is, there are more female characters in game, so they upped the price to squeeze a little more TP out of users.

actually it’s pretty astonishing how the classes aren’t that sexist for an mmo. Girls do have normal clothes except for few classes.

More than a few. But it’s to be expected. Gotta give the boys something to ogle, apparently.

more than a few? Except oracle and maybe some wizard class they all have some credible clothes that fit their roles.

Just off the top of my head, female Archer and Dragoon are pretty bad too.

Female archer is same outfit for both gender ! if female is sexy mode then male too.

When male Archer’s run you don’t see their underwear nor the curve of their bare ass.

you do, both female and male archer have the same running animation. A lot of my friend though my Quarrel shooter was a girl as he runs really lightly and have a skirt. Actually a lot of male skin have a skirt :open_mouth:

Also a lot of my female friends told me it was quite refreshing to finally have a decent credible outfit for girl in an mmo so…

I’m not saying gender equality is there as it’s definitly not but it is still quite progressive for a mmo.

Male archers have leggings so you’re not seeing anything. I don’t really care what your friend says to be honest. She’s wrong. In fact, I highly doubt anyone has ever said that to you, unless they were a complete newbie who hasn’t previewed any class and hasn’t rolled archer, then maybe. But anyone with basic knowledge of this game’s classes and outfits know that the women have less clothing than their male counterparts in most situations.

It makes sense though. Why would a female Dragoon need body armor? Just have her stomach and cleavage exposed. Give her a thin strapless red top which just barely covers her breasts. In combat, no one aims for your vitals.

EDIT: The backpedaling is real.

Honestly, if you’re expecting realistic historical martial arts with perfect armor protecting every realistic part of the body this game is probably not for you.

Almost none of the armors in this game, male or female, are really that practical, even in a Fantasy setting; personally I’m fine with that. I’d rather my characters wear stuff that I like to look at rather than have them be in the most realistically accurate armor.

Besides, it’s not sexist. Female classes are not weaker than male classes in any way in terms of gameplay. If you don’t like the female outfits then that is entirely on you, it is clearly a design choice and I’d suggest you play a game like Chivalry if you want to see characters designed with realistically protective armor.
