Tree of Savior Forum

This game has way to many features that harm legit players. General issues too

Lets see, No trading without paying, takes 48 hours to get cash off market, Potions heal for crap, The lag cause by rmt spammers that the gm/s don’t seem to be doing enough about… probally because they are making money with all the new accts they need to keep buying. Megaphones need some restriction like char has to be above X level, or has been played for X amount of time so the spamming gets limited somewhat. The piss-poor performance, I can play the highest end games at 1080p and get a constant 60+ fps, in Tree of Savior? I am lucky to get 40 fps which is kinda pathethic when you consider the graphics of the game (while pretty I can’t see them as being demanding) which shows the game needs to be better optimized. The network lag is also pretty bad at times.

Companions are nice, but they need to follow players movements better and have faster attack speeds, most of the time my Hoglan finally swings at something the target has moved out of its attack range due to how slow the animation is.

It also seems hard to make any silver, I am having issues even affording potions and repairs, its no wonder the rmt is so rampant in this game.

Lastly the spawn rates for monsters is far to low, some maps are so crowded that its hard to get any exp even in a party due to just the sheer number of players and how slow the spawn rates are. Also I have found several bugged quests that are incompleteable, EG: Light attack in the Tenet church B1, there is no way to put the bomb on its back that i’ve found. Also Obversion is a bugged quest as well, clicking the circles as it says does nothing.

use the achievement npc (feather icon) to make money early. I got like 40-60k free like that.

I agree with most of what you said, but:

I think that’s good. First of all, it creates incentive to group up with a healer in parties for grinding. Second of all, even if you solo you can easily dodge all attacks. I don’t really see the problem here.

Don’t spend money on potions. Buy firewood from Items NPC in towns, they recently buffed the recovery speed if you sit near a fireplace.
Or simply party up or “git gud” to avoid taking damage in the first place.

git gud doesn’t exactly work when your a swordsman that has to sit in melee range regardless :stuck_out_tongue: But really, I don’t understand all the penalties, especally the market delay for getting cash, that one especally confuses me, i’ve never seen a game do that before and I’ve played tons of mmorpgs.

Yes, this is pointless. It does nothing to stop goldsellers. It doesn’t bring advantage to anyone. It only makes players miserable because they have to wait so long for the silver they need right now, not in 2 days.

The fact that this is not a bug or a glitch shows that this feature is here for a reason.
In my opinion, they made this to protect the economy. In other words, someone will have a harder time having the monopol of an item in the market by buying every single one of them, they will have to have a lot of money to compensate for the fact that they need to wait 2 days to obtain the money, which will most likely slow them enought to buy every single copy of this item ( to sell it much less cheaper later ). My point is that there is no way this feature is still in the game if there is no reason for it to exist, we just dont think hard enought to find a reason.

One small advantage, but huge disadvantages. This basically destroys those who like to play the market. This discourages people from selling anything because they’ll have to wait so long for their money, and in KR it takes TP to put items on sell so even more reason not to sell anything on the market.

Market in any MMORPG should be free. Discouraging players from using the market will just make players leave the game.

Well I also do not like the way they decided to do things involving the market but I dont see it being bad enough to not use it … Anyway there is a good chance that they made the market this way to help the it start properly. I bet that they will remove the timer when the game will finish its early acces stage.

You also forget sell prices of market items is controled by the game itself. SO no one really could control it. Needless to say I can’t think of many mmo’s where trading is behind a paywall and has so many limits. If its to stop rmt stuff well, they failed, it doesn’t stop them, all this stuff does is annoy the hell out of your legit players. There is literally 0 benefit to it, and major downsides to having it.

They control the selling price so that gold seller cant buy item from people that wants to buy gold from them, it doesnt help the fact that i could buy every copy of one item and sell them for the most amount of money possible. But this is just an exemple to show that IMC as a reason to put the timer for sure.
