They are gonna buff Corsair?

Steparu said

Corsair AA DPS is decent, but it could be better. GM’s said a lot of Corsair players are complaining about lacking skills, so it will get buffed later. Relying on buffs is kind of meh without “Daino scroll” and party members can mess up your buff. Buff max limit cap went from 5 to 7 without “Daino” in CBT3 cap may go up more in future? Sadhu, is still better for fast attack because true magic damage is OP never miss and deadly in PvP.

I also believe that they will buff Corsair as it is a really lackluster class to begin with. Jolly Roger is overrated but I think it is a really crappy buff since it only last 5 seconds and need you to kill an opponent first before you gain the buff. Really unusable at bossing imo. Keelhauling can’t be used when you use Iron Hook’s attribute that chain more than one enemy. Dagger mastery only increases your dagger damage (20 per attribute) and you need to attack from behind as well to activate it, much worse when you compare it to Monk’s double punch for example that gains 100 lv of attributes and is spammable. Looting is okay and Unlock Treasure does just that.

Instead of raising buff limit I think it would be better if there would be an option that makes self buffing non overwritable. Maybe attributes would be great for it. Those can be turned on and off anyway.

It seems obvious that the Corsair class needs a buff.
Okay it’s listed as a “support class” (green colour class), but it’s more like a hybrid class.

Its main skill (JR) works only for Corsair Skills, and they only have one “damage skill”, the double weapon assault.
The siamese combo ‘Iron Hook+Keel Hauling’ is a good front-line-support skills combination.

It clearly needs “something” more to be in the spotlight. Something in the third circle, or an upper class using pirate’s advantages maybe.

I agree that it needs a buff somewhere within the corsair tree itself or gungho/conentrate need to be a percentage so they can scale with the levels. Most the corsair damage comes from barbarian buffs which will most likely not be getting buffed again seeing as how it was previously nerfed. My corsair does just fine in kcbt, but we’ll see.

Interaction with a ship, whether supportive cannon fire from off-screen or calling for reinforcements. There’s no legitimate reason why any dual-wielding swordsman class should be lacking in dps especially if that dual wielder is a Pirate.

How about bombs/cannons, bombs can be thrown (can cause stun, froze, immobilize etc) while cannons can be place on ground for support and damage etc (imagination thingy… :sparkles: )

Better yet make it so only the buffs we get from other class is limited, self buff shouldn’t be overwritten which would eliminate the purpose of that class.

What buff it need?its op in pvp.

Necromancer needs more love than Corsair, tho.
:frowning:

What’s wrong with it?

You know that joke when a character loses to itself? That is Necro…

[Review] Feedback on Necromancer's skills and systems:

Hmmm I see… DiscKZee’s review is quite interesting. Thanks for the info Satoru.

Rework on classes is inevitable, thanks to the FTG/Beta players’ feedbacks. ^^

If you’re talking about how OP their Iron Hook is, then no, it’s actually ain’t that OP. It freezes you in place and it forces you to cancel the skill if you want to move, It only hooks three enemies and that requires each opponent to be near with each other, and also THAT is also the only skill in terms of supportive skill in a support class which Arukado has mentioned before.

Slight necro, but just in case people check this thread for answers, Corsair has had some love recently, and will have more planned in the future.

It’s recently gained two new attack skills, one for Circle 1 and one for Circle 2.

Jolly Roger will also have the effects of Looting built into the skill as well later on, this is a planned change.

Check here if you want to see Corsair’s changes since iCBT, and other classes changes.
