Is it normal to not be able to catch 10 times(7/10 to be more specific) in more than 2 hours? Or it’s just me?
Yesterday : me and my GF did our 10/10 in less than 3 hours.
Today : I did 10/10 in 2 hours (with only worms btw …), my GF is still at 9/10 after 4h30.

7,1% chance to fish with basic bait.
You need the 2~3 hour for fish ten item and 120 to 150 baits

Too much for 7.1% chance of success, it is not like this when farming mat
also, the bonfire doesnt work either
Just to point out, the bait decide the quality of loot you get.
The rod decides your chance.
Though with that said I’m not sure if there’s a better rod out there, I got the event rod and it also have 7.1% chance.

Fishing need patience, I think that’s why the RNG also make it that way.
Today I did a 100% shrimp to try to see any differences between both baits and I got even more crap and less Silver Fishes than with worms yesterday 
2 days aren’t relevant so I will swap between worms and shrimps until 25 Silver Fishes then forget about fishing for now. I feel like it’s just a money sinker which has been released without being fully tested.

the only times when I got 1 fish in half an hour was when I was trying to catch a fish with a fking culm of weed( because all the rest catches was missed when the fish let go its mouth from the weed)
it’s the “Better price” not “better chance of catching”.
To be honest, in the first day, I catched more with less baits with that Worm. But nothing noticable

Btw, the first day, with Worm, I even got 2 Dawn crystal fragments. Ever when starting using Shrimp, I only got fish + Green Eldigo claws. 6 of them now.
p/s: But there’re also things “I might be proud of” too like : Klai rod and Tos Placard.
I think I will go for worm tomorrow until I got enough silver fish 
In the real world there is an enviroment to enjoy while fishing, ingame, you just stare at a screen.
Tos shouldve just turned fishing into a minigame, as if it was a fishing game, not an afk simulator.
Oh wait, afk simulator, ToS, i knew i forgot something.

I just got 2 silver fish and 1 small silver fish (70 shrimps and 80 worms) in 2 hours and half. Am i missing something?
In real life we also stand AFK and stare into a water hoping to catch fish.
But you have to remain attent to the moment that the fish bites and reel in it after some struggle, while ingame your character does it automatically for you.
