So I just kicked from the game with a popup saying there was a patch. I’m on dial-up so this usually means I’m locked out of the game until the weekend where a high speed connection becomes available for me.
But about five minutes later Steam apparently managed to patch the game and I could click “Play” again.
But the game won’t launch. It sits at “0% version.txt” and does nothing. One time it gave that wretched “failed to download list file” error. As far as I can tell there was no actual patch as there is no option to update the game any more, yet the game itself won’t open even after a restart of steam or the computer itself.
Anyone else having any sudden unexplained errors?
