There seems to be some confusion about prime time playtime in NA

I know that you guys picked 1-5 AM EST for maintenance to be as unobtrusive as possible, and tonight’s 3AM EST for maintenance for the same reason.

HOwever, this is largely ignoring a key aspect of prime playtime for West coasters (and to a lesser extent, mountain and central time zone players as well). 1AM EST is 10PM Western, which is still prime time play time for many of your intended audience.

I know beta is beta, and we won’t expect to have quite as much maintenance when it goes live, but I’m hoping what maintenance we do have can be better balanced across NA.

I don’t think they set it for that time because of EST primetime.

Fairly certain maint is set for that time since that’s when they are active (they are in Korea)

I live in WA state. It’s midnight. This is not “prime time”.

I was always under the assumption that prime time on the weekdays was more 7~10

10 is actually where a decent amount of people are getting ready for bed (or so I’ve heard), strange enough.

While it sucks for people that tend to play a bit later, (myself included in those times generally) A lot of people are indeed winding down around 10, because of school/early morning jobs. It makes some sense from the developer’s perspective because of time zone differences assuming that the majority of their staff is in Korea, it is the afternoon when downtime starts. I just try to look at the bright side of generally its a weekly to every two weeks thing, and there are other things to spend time on while the game is down \o/

but is there a place where they write emercency maintenance? how much they last?

i can see the LA server is up but i still cannot log in.

And i have no idea how much time i need to wait, if its 20 minuts 2 hours 2 days, no idea xD

(Un)fortunately, this isn’t ToS: USA version. By them adjusting to favor in your timezone, they screw over someone else. The times will be whatever they want them to be…

All of the server are “International” servers for now. They dont have plan to separate timezone just yet. Even you see someone tell you it’s American’s server… which is only half true. (the location is America but the service is International)

so that why they wont consider specifically on any timezone.

then why do they need to open a latino america server? it doesnt make any sense to me…/

If the server are international everyone can log in. why don’t they make a server for every country then? let’s open 23562362 server because people ask for it…

if it was for lag i would understand of course… but why a “latino american server” what is the purpose of this?

The purpose of the latino’s server is to move the large number of brazillian’s trolls to other server becouse a lot of people complained that is impossible to play with people spamming portuguese and random things on the global chat

Fun fact: They confirmed a Latino American server. “Brazilian” trolls stoped their huehue even before this LA server open.

Sorry, but I don’t think that the “huehue” was really made by Brazilians, but by Americans that wanted to separate people. You don’t need to know how to speak portuguese to spam “huehuehue” in chat. Anyone can do this and blame on Brazilians.

If the “huehue” was really made by Brazilians, it wouldn’t stop just because of a confirmed server that didn’t even started. But this isn’t the place to talk about this…

this is completely dumb, that can’t be the reason why the made a server for LA, the only thing i see is that is completely unfair for other country.

let them spam in chat let them do whatever they want its an international, everyone is supposed to be there from all the countries, so why a server for LA?

A server for LA that is hosted in the same place as the other servers, so don’t expect “less lag for LA players” being the reason.
