Theorycrafting Invulnerability Support

So I was wondering if this could work:

Now I know it seems silly, specially without the 10 heal tiles and such but my theory is:

Goddess of Ausrine gives us 18 seconds of invulnerability and the statue lasts for 30 seconds meaning that we might be able to apply the effect twice when it ends the first time or about to end right? so that means 36 seconds of invulnerability for my team.

Now Krivis’ Melstis basically “stops” the timers of buffs from going down, at lvl 5 it lasts for 35 seconds while draining your sp by 5% every seconds, the invulnerability that Ausrine gives is counted as a buff so Melstis affects it, now when we applied Ausrine for the 2nd time we could use Melstis to make the timer stop while still being invulnerable.

So that means that we could be 36 seconds of invulnerability from Ausrine and 35 seconds of invulnerability from Melstis extending the Ausrine’s buff duration, which results in 71 seconds of invulnerability.

Now the problem is the cooldown of Melstis and Ausrine but that’s why we luckily have Laima to the rescue!

Ausrine has a 90 second cooldown, with Laima -20% jumps down to 72.

Melstis has a 60 second cooldown, with Laima -20% jumps down to 48.

If we combine the duration of Ausrine applied twice and Melstis making the 2nd time the buff applied last for 35 more seconds, that means 71 seconds of invulnerability as I said before, meaning that Ausrine would have 1 second of downtime.

So we could use it almost instantly to apply it again and we also have our Carve World Tree to help our team to run clock-wise around Ausrine without much trouble to apply it fastly.

Now the only problem I could think is Melstis draining my SP, but I suppose with a lvl 10 concetrated potion (they count as a buff so Melstis also stops the timer of the potion while still receiving the SP), some gear to reduce my SP so the % is lower and any other stuff that could help with that, would that be doable?

Also the other thing is I don’t know if Melstis CD starts as soon as I start the channeling or after it finished, which could be a problem if it starts after finishing but if we’ve a Chrono in our party with Pass then it’s no problem.

Also is good to mention this build would be the most effective for end-game content with a good organized party, since I can’t really see it being executed properly in lower lvl duns, specially with random groups.

What do you guys think, is this doable?

It’s a good combination, but the only place where the party’s going to sit still (or at least in a limited area) for 70+ secs is at a boss. Everywhere else, your support will be pretty awful, due to only having Cleric1 and no Priest3.

Should be noted that you’ll probably need Priest1 for future endgame content too, as you do now in ET.

You can attempt a similar combination with Druid2 though. Sterea Troph for 10 sec (24 cd w/ Lamia), then Ausrine, then another Sterea. But I don’t think you’ll even need invincibility for that long… and the limited area problem’s still there.

Yeah I thought about that too, the limitation to stand still in one spot, might be good only for Earth Tower where stuff hits quite hard and you stand still for most of the time tho, other than that it might be pretty situational, maybe with future ranks it might be more possible.

For now I’ll continue lvling my Cleric C2 > Krivis C3 > Oracle C2, kinda torn between taking 1 rank of priest tho, since it seems like it’s a must to support properly in ET… kinda sucks because I want to get Oracle C3 as soon as rank 8 comes out, that’s why I want to take Oracle C2 asap, I wish there was some kind of item for reviving teammates so you don’t have to lose possible combinations because you’ve to take priest :<

So much backtracking it hurts aaargh.
You’ll get plenty of Invuln from Safety zone + Counter spell.
In general roaming you’re not really taking so much damage that Heal can’t handle it.

Your options for invulnerability include:
Sterea Trofh
Revive
Safety Zone
Ausrine
Counter Spell (magic only)

I think that’s all of them. So you can actually mix and match, and go between too. Revive is the most mobile version and is more of a “you won’t die once + a little invuln” buff, but you’re still unkillable while its on, and if you die are untouchable for a few seconds.

Ausrine has the biggest area, followed by Sterea/Counter Spell.

I’m just gonna say, the invulnerability statue is very funky. Sometimes I get 18 seconds on the buff, sometimes 14, sometimes 10. And it doesn’t matter whether it was my first time running around the statue, or it the 2nd/3rd time. The applied buff duration has never been consistent as far as I can tell.

Also, some boss knock backs still work even under invulnerability. I don’t remember which, but I remember it happening in mausoleum part of Saalus. That can very easily interrupt your Melstis channel.

Ausrine seems to have a fixed number of invincibility charges. It will be the max number of seconds the moment you cast it and the 1st player runs around it. Every player that runs around it will decrease the charge by 1 (2 secs shorter) and as the statue ages the charges will decrease too.

This is what I experience, need someone to help verify…

Well that makes a whole lot more sense! So the whole party running around it just once means the 5th person only gets the buff for 10 seconds. Well, that puts a huge whole in the near-perma invulnerable theorycrafting.

I was interested in making a similar build on a new cleric. Now, since the invulnerability part was covered, what about Dps capabilites of this build?

Wouldn’t Krivis c3 with zaibas plus Diev c3 with owls give a good dps? (not to mention all the good support skills given by both classes)

Or the usual builds with druid2 performs better?

[/quote]It’s decent dps yeah. Druid2 has far better single-target dmg, however Krivis2/3 is better aoe.

Err, from my own experience ‘almost none’ of the party member knows how to use Ausrine, so this might not be that good (for random party).
Ofc u can tell them how to use, tho.

This does not work anymore in kTOS.
