That was my point, sorry if it was not understood. instead of FIXING or IMPLEMENTING scaling, Transcendance, your go to solution. Transcendance now with more vaseline, pick yours now.
no worries it was a issue to begin with. Transcend is lulz… A standard player will only reach that cap of whale level by 6 mths.
Anyway transcend still isn’t that bad the real issue is what you highlighted. Scaling.
If this exist transcend will break things but at least your lower casual pool of players are able to enjoy what they can instead of getting frustrated over unable to transcend.
It’s pretty much like P server of a game all over if the scaling is ok, but no lel.

My issue is: if you’ve got no scaling at all and then pretend to implement it while still having transcendance in place, if things become as effective as transcendance 4 weapon. what will happen then when you throw transcendance into the mix?
You’ll get players hitting millions, you only stop that with the damage cap. How can you truly fix an issue when you threw another in there? you fix the first one, and then what will you do with the second one? it is not perceive as an issue by many, but it is. you’ll displease many in order to make things right, as you should? or just leave it be and allow it to further destroy things?

What would happen? first you’d get people hitting so much that they would not need any other weapon, ever.
So you scale the enemies to have ridiculous amounts of hp to survive the players, ridiculous amounts of defense and attack in order to pose a challenge. creating this vicious circle of transcendance, impeding players that won’t invest on it. Being hit for one and hitting for millions sure sound fun, doesn’t it? just because I invested so much for this reward, does it make the game fun?
HP sponges and DPS checks are not fun.
This ridiculous scaling would only make sense as an end game quest content if all the class ranks are complete. Even then it’s not the best game model. But we’re at middle of class development. We’re supposed to have at least 4 or 5 more ranks. Why this jump in ridiculous scaling? Because of transcendence. I’m actually ok with this transcendence if the current monster scaling 280+ wasn’t so bad but they’ve decided to scale the monsters around transcendence and that’s a HUGE problem. ■■■■ IMC. They’re so incompetent.

That build is in the top 5 most common ktos build overhall and in the top 10 most common weekly build as well.
miki unbalance + saalus slave unbalance + farming mats unbalance = 6/7 classes worth playing in a game that should have hundreds of options. To me that is overkill :3

First of all, me and few friends never bother so called meta things. We all are non-meta and had fun playing the game casually, so dont force yourself into IMC’s butt and ktos’ trend.
We never bother orange 315, Transcendant or even Earth Tower, those content have no quality of life and only waste your time.
However, those content does support whale activity and broken the balance and environment of the game. It also indirect became semi P2W when you set an impossible ceiling of infinity grinding, and at the same time IMC allowed silver to make the way, which also caused the rise of whales, increase of RMT activities. I also suspect that IMC behind the silvers selling, because the new R8 game meta is designed to push that.
Anyway, we just enjoy what we do and never wanted to spend a single cent on it.
You are crying on your facts, it’s exactly what I’m saying. Thauma is not a must have, maybe for Pyro, but we don’t know if Agny will get a nerf, or if R9 mobs will have high res against fire… And there are still other classes from Wizard tree which are strong in PvE.
Like every game, most of people are following the meta while few people are able to run better builds. It’s why it’s funny to see people crying on Thauma while few months ago people were crying because Thauma was the badest class from Wizard tree. And I don’t get where is the problem here, as long as you are able to play another build.

You can still play other classes. I see a lot of people crying on the forum, telling to people “if you are not cryochrono / if you are not linkerchrono, you cannot run this”. Fact is : nobody give a ■■■■ at your build as long as you have scrolls.
I agree transcendence scaling should be nerf or better yet just add some other effects to different stage instead of direct damage boost.
Don’t make dps class only a thing for hardcore players or whales, casual players should be able to play dps even in the end game content.
Earth tower shouldn’t have this ridiculous dps check. It should be more about teamwork than gear, but make it in a way where people with better gear can complete faster. This will still motivates people to invest in their gears, but won’t scared people away from even trying out.
I think they should go back to rank 7 (which would get rid of the rank 8 mobs and transcendence). The balance was a lot better then. Even though I did get a lot stronger with rank 8 I’m willing to give that up for better balance.
rank 7 balance is garbage, nowhere near it was “balanced”. You wont see swordsman in top 10 or archer in top 70. Because clerics had the monopoly of the best skills. Even if clerics/wiz still have the best skills, DPS swordsman/archer can compete because they can inflict damage now.
You dont have to be hardcore so you can compete damage wise. Trans 4 is so easy to get. 250 shards for trans 4 is 42m in my server. You can sell practonium close to 40m. You can get practonium in day 1 of rolling. If you can get endgame damage in day 1, can it still be called hardcore?
There are tons of ways to make silver in this game to get trans 4 weapon. Probably there is no guide on how to be efficient in silver making. The game doesnt teach how to make silver either. “meta” is the term commonly used by our community because they dont have the ability to think creatively. Even lvl 178 rank 6 can get 80m in just one week with 3-4hours of game time a day.
MMORPG is most of the time item hunting, prime example is our RO predecessor. If people dont have the time to hunt/farm items, then this game probably doesnt belong to you.

The whole point is that builds effective to farm optimally (either if u want to share your personal strat or not) are very few
and, especially looking at archer and swordie tree, there i no reason to roll them over a linker/thauma grinder.
So, if you choice to play a char you actually like, you will enter an oblivion where you will farm horrendosly badly or u will be useless in 5man content (most of the time, both things will happens).

Let me ask you, since you have the idea of being a “meta”. Do you know how much time you need to hit the DPK using your pyro thauma "meta’ in 315 mats location?

Well I may not have the time to grind my way to a good weapon, but still have the time to post on these forums to get the game to change xD
Yes, it is true. One of the two needs to change: Either my playing habits, or the game itself. So I do what I can so the second one happens.
I think everyone’s opinion is different so I realize some people like the grind. I actually like some grind too, but not when it’s like this.
The changed you probably suggesting is to hand out the silver so easy? So you can afford these high-end damage/weapons.
We are lucky because we dont have that sh1t 0.01% end game weapon mats farming. We even have the choice of making it drop 2x.
Im not saying whats happening is the best, im only arguing that silver making is easy in this game. We are not restricted into 1 type of silver making. Removing transcendence will make swordsman and archer sh1t in PVP again. At least now i can see archers in rank 5 compared before they can only climb in rank 70 in rank 7 era.
Rank 9 will produce another silver making methods, IMC always do this. This suggestion will probably implemented in rank 9 in the form of another silver making. Heck hunting ground and appraiser is also another form of making silver, abusing it to make profitable is our job to find out, because IMC or the game wont tell it to us how. IMC has the fetish of making rank 6 a money making rank.
