Well, it’s good to have confirmation.
I know right? And the last 2 patches broke the game for good for me, before the merge i could get from 20-60 FPS depending on the area, now i get 1-20 when moving, and 2-30 when stand still.
My laptop is not a super machine, but i do play Divinity Original Sins Enhanced Edition, Elite Dangerous, Path of Exile with high/max settings no problem here.
I have noticed that instead of improving the game, they are causing more harm to it.
I REFUSE to believe that this is the same patch the KR have, or Nexon would had pulled it out of their game list for good a long time.
This is just annoying and by any mean should hinder the legit players gameplay, there are better ways to do it.
I do agree on that at certain point, at least the affected classes should be reset, not receive a pot from events that we could use in other situation.
I take Path of Exile for an example, every time there is a small change (addition or modification) to their passive tree, they offer a full reset (the full reset button is enabled), and it stays there till you use it.
As for the others i won’t dwell into, since some could be fixed altogether with the other stuff above.
This will never happen, sadly. And if it is implemented it won’t be for a looooooong time.
By all means, please post any suggestions you have that would hinder bots more so than players effectively. I don’t really mind having to put a captcha in every hour or so when grinding at an area myself, and I figured a bot would have difficulties automating the process. I do think that bots are a real problem, but many of the fixes put in so far do seem to hurt the player just as much if not more. I think that’s why they have been slowly removing some of them such as making silver transferable between characters now. Good ideas being posted to help keep bots to lower numbers really are welcomed, so please, do list them.
Verily. I’m more shocked that the person who thought this was an okay thing for a game that needed more still has their job. Or maybe they don’t.
Eh, people will always find unpopular skills either by circumstance or by build choice. There are some skills that need straight revamping, but some that are just unpopular because they don’t amount to much yet.
This really only applies to Wizards, as even Archers have to worry about being more STR or more DEX is beneficial to them. Clerics and Swordsmen have no problem with being dynamic as they already are. More skills that have scalings would help this.
Yes, and no. To try and balance a game with such diversity is impossible. Strictly impossible, but constant circling of modes and changes to overtuned classes may alleviate this. Honestly while PvP is chaotic, some classes are broken when other’s arent present. Mainly, downtune the PDs and everyone who’s countered by PDs receive an indirect strengthening.
Yeah, I get that.
This has to be done carefully, as leveling would soon turn into certain areas: the game. I do believe that things such as Achievement Cards towards areas and monsters should retrigger if you enter the area/kill on a new character without having to do it over.
Pointless, bots have the capability to deal with captcha systems that are not functions in themselves. People use the one in Wakfu was reference, but that one is special to Wakfu and deals with that game’s mechanics. It wouldn’t work elsewhere.
Define major, because people can beg and whine that IMC didn’t deem a change major when it could be to them. When it’s a simple number change, it shouldn’t count, but when a new mechanic is added to a spell, such as Cleave, it should warrant it I believe. That’s just me.
I’m wary of this point. I’m positive the reason why IMC hasn’t straight worked hard on ToS is because Nexon has them by a leash to release WK as they’d count as a developer studio for them. While I would love this to apply, there will come a time when a bug will take longer than a week to fix; It depends how mangled their coding is. All I’d want is more transparency instead of smoke and mirrors, tbh.
a Korean developer of mmo, does not have enough technical knowledge to make some these adjustments.
when the server population be between 2 ~ 4k, they will probably try to do half of what you wrote.
I will point out another thread about it, but someone else found some gaps in the suggestion, well there is no fail proof anti-bot system, the only thing that would get rid of them is, people stop using their services, but you know, that is one thing that will never stop.
About the said thread, have fun reading it, it is a bit long, i did try to improve the idea the best i could to rebut the other guy.
I believe if they focus on the damn bugs they churning out every patch. Many of us will be ok with the broken game.
Someone is dreaming big. Such dreams rarely come true though.
I’m pretty sure updating the game doesn’t “save” it. The game already did a huge update that didn’t bring players back to check it out.
There’s no advertising anywhere.
For good reason really, the game is buggy and broken. Advertising it in its current state won’t help it new players will play for a bit and quit just like they always have done. Some might stay, but it’s not enough to stop player churn.
Fix problems, then advertise. That’s what the game requires.
You don’t get new players without telling people that have never heard about the game about it.
dude at this point we all know that we are talking to a wall…
good idea…but in the end they just care with ktos and even that is… =/
True, advertising after addressing all these issues would probably help as well. But, I think addressing the issues is the bigger focus for now. It would be nice if they acknowledges issues like these and communicated about it. If we had some sort of timeline as to when to expect updates, it’d be oftly nice.
sounds like making a new game >?
If only they could make that “turn other characters effects” really work…
Make all pets non targetable during PvP, it’s ridiculous to have these as meat shields and waste CD of precious skills when one of these shits camps above his master’s hitbox…

-Buff Swordsman more =)
but yeah, i agree with most of the post
can’t believe in 2016, they would design a game that can only subside on a single core.
and it isn’t some pixel game, like all the sprites are high detail, lots of varied attack animations and effects, and all goes to waste because they designed it based on technology from 2001
i think they where developing this game waaaaaaaaay back and did not foresee the need of a multicore support. the developers are stupid.
Something that should be considered to be added to the list:
Server-side checks as opposed to Client-side checks
For example, the server should check if someone is auto-attacking and also verify the attack speed of the person. This way, the server can calculate and properly register auto-attacks and negate the need of ping-dependency.
This would make it such that players with different pings can still do the same damage with auto-attacks and other skills that are currently ping-dependent.
