-Implemented multi-core support
Self Explanatory. At this point in time, it really is without excuse for something so basic to not be in the game, as it would help a huge portion of the playerbase enjoy the game much more. It may be a tall order to implement this, but it would be one of the biggest helps to the game because fun goes down dramatically when players can’t play due to FPS despite having expensive gaming PCs. ToS shouldn’t be so unoptimized.
-Revamped unpopular skills
There are skills that either no one uses or are very lacking for the point in time they are given and don’t scale well at all. By making these skills better, you will make different skill paths as viable or nearly as viable as currently picked ones.
-Revamped stats for more dynamic focus
Right now, stats are very limited and builds can be rather predictable. It would be more fun if there were a variety of possible builds all equal in viability to each other while also being different. E.g. Have SPR affect skill cooldown. Have Int affect Skill Cast Time. Have Dex affect attack speed. Str giving block penetration was a good idea and other stats giving bonuses could make more varied stat builds. Tweaking stats so that there aren’t just 2 or 3 builds viable competitively would spark more life into the game.
-Rebalanced pvp
I know this is an ongoing process already, but I will give some input here. Mix it up with buffs and nerfs and don’t overnerf things to the point something doesn’t even have a realistic use. It would help if the developers actually played the game their self to get a better feel for what might need to be adjusted some.
-Implemented effect turn off option while leaving important ones visible
This is vital for the big events like 15 vs. 15 GvG. There should be an option (similar to /effect on RO) that turns off almost all effects, but leaving things you do and don’t want to walk into.
-Revamped party lvling areas to be put on par with quests
Questing is fine. But, when you are making your 3rd or 4th or whatever character, it would honestly just be more fun partying with friends and skipping most quests. Make this more viable and people will feel more motivated to make new characters rather than just leave/go inactive after they finish one.
-Implemented new captcha bot detection system
We all know that bots will probably always be a problem. But, methods of dealing with them that don’t hurt players so much is the better way to try to fight them. Bots would have a harder time dealing with random capchas than players. Thus why it was suggested a lot in the past and probably is still one of the better ideas for bots.
-Resets issued to any major class changes
This is one of the more controversial ones, but you have to keep in mind what is best for most players. Other people not having to reroll characters after a major change to their character really is a positive thing if you think about it form the other’s perspective. If they aren’t already making a new character, they probably just don’t want to. This forces people to do so and invalidates previous invested time to a great extent. At the very least, even if it’s difficult, program a partial reset that at least resets the classes that were affected. I think people having wasted silver on dmg attributes that will no longer have a purpose is a pretty big set back in and of itself anyways.
-Addresses to bug that are going to be fixed and one fix to a major bug at least every week
Bugs can be pretty major. Some bugs make skills bad that shouldn’t be, which can affect the entire class. Other bugs can give people unfair advantages. Other bugs just make playing the game much less enjoyable. Communicating about bugs and putting effort to at least fix one per week would certainly help how people feel about the game.
I realize that maybe for a couple of these points, people may not think they are important or even necessary at all, but I think in general, if all these things were addressed, Tree of Savior would start succeeding and begin to do much better than at present. I think the playerbase would be much more happy, and I think the population would grow rather than shrink. I know there are topics addressing any one of these things often, but I wanted to just put them all together. I think that it’s important for us as a playerbase to have a clear idea about what we want.
While I know it is difficult to manage a mmo and implement these things, all jobs have difficulties. To be successful, those challenges need to be met. Love the core game of Tree of Savior or not, it too is going to be judged by what it does and doesn’t do right. I believe right now it isn’t even reaching the minimum of quality expectations. I’m someone who hasn’t quit Tree of Savior because I really want it to do better because I do love the core concept of the game. I think most people who are still playing feel that way as well. I’m not trying to be unfair to the game, but realistic in what the game needs and what the playerbase desires.
I really, really want to see this game improve, and not just in small ways, but in the ways I have mentioned in this thread. If you feel that way too, please share this so that it is clear what we would like to be addressed in the game. Thank you for your time.
