The United Trading Agency

Okay … still trying to find a name, but this is pretty serious. This thread will mainly be directed for crafters.

As some of you may know, kToS’ current economy (craft-wise) is completely and utterly ■■■■, potions are sold at ridiculously low prices, scroll sales are going downhill as we speak and all of this is because of the player base.

As an Alchemist, I really don’t want to pay my pots more than I sell them, and I suppose you pardoners don’t as well. As such, we must set up some ground rules so we don’t destroy each other.

I won’t be listing any rules because, well to be honest I have no idea what to establish let alone how to enforce it. My sole goal was to bring this problem to the community’s attention, and I hope I did. Any suggestions ?

Cheaper prices are always better for everybody.

If you won’t craft for cheap, there’s a whole line of people ready to do it for half the price. Deal with it.

Honestly:

First things first, you are going to need to set up and establish the frame work for some type of “Players’ Crafting Alliance” (name irrelevant) that players join to sell their goods in.

Once you’ve done that, and this is the hard part, you’re going to have to find a way to allow non-crafters to know where to go to buy their goods and find a way to black sheep anyone who violates/is not a part of the alliance.

This will be nearly impossible in a game where PvP is not universal AND it’s not a sandbox game.

Sure, I get that, but when the prices drop to 200/pot, it becomes a problem, we start shooting ourselves in the foot. Cheap is good, but it shouldn’t be lower than a certain amount, or else we’re just joking ourselves and becoming the other classes pot bitches.

I mean it’s fine if you don’t want to earn the playerbase’s silvers. There are people who are willing to do it for less…

The best man wins.

I like the ideas, but I understand the challenges, not to mention that tokens are not making this any easier …

wont happen lol in iCbt2 some of the alchemist tried this and ends
cos most of the newer alchemist would just undercut til the pots price go down

Except, this war will not win you any silver, in fact you might even have to lose benefits so you can be “best man”.

That’s the problem, we have to find a way to make a system that prevents these people from ■■■■■■■ it all up …

It’s worth opening a dialogue with the company.

Don’t get me wrong. I won’t be crafting anything. I’m just a consumer.

And i will support undercutting of prices so that potions are available to me for cheap.

And I don’t blame you, because I would too. But suppose we live in a perfect world, where everyone lists their stuff at the same price. Everyone would have a shot at making money without REALLY being in competition with others.

The world is not perfect.

Everyone STILL gets a shot at making money. Just price reasonably.

Bump :3
