The thing I hate most about games by IMC

I believe I’m not the only one if I say that one of the best thing about ToS gameplay, is that you can lure a crappton amount of monster and explode them all at once. Even Pleb species like Plebtesta feel decent to play while grinding because of the bigass taunt so you get to hack-and-slash big group of monster every time.

And there’s no better way to disappoint someone than to completely stop them from enjoying what they love to do.

IMC loves to promote AFK farming. While this is good for people that have works to do so they can still grind somehow, in a game that is full of fodders to kill, it creates a complete zone of denial for those who wish to play. This is why Sorc and Nec are probably one of the most hated class in the game. The moment you see some random level 250 sorc in a level 160 area, you know that a part of the map is now off-limit. It’s not like seeing a person grinding there because they might leave once in awhile. Those AFKing sorc with auto pots will likely take control of that zone for the rest of your play time and there’s nothing you can do about it.

This element is also present in the same game that I used to love by IMC as well. Granado Espada.

You have that mage who explodes the entire group of enemies instantly in one of the biggest AoE size you can ask for in any MMO. (Unless you decide to use 3 range attackers with spacebar insta kill.)
Then you swim in loots.

Before you run into Jack who creates an entire zone of instant-kill turret that completely prevents you from playing. Even worse case is when the bots decide to create their turret zone on your legit afking char.

I love summoner type and always try to go for one in every game especially if it’s possible to control them. (Bonus point if the summons look so awesome that there’s probably a rule 34 of them somewhere)

But when the reason these classes exist is to just afk farm fodders and completely ruin the game for other people, it just suck.

I kinda wish that every map has some kind of “Anti-bot” police monster. Imagine a system that randomly pick one of the fodders in the map and give it the police buff, 500x hp or something and extra damage/defense. This is triggered every 30 - 60 minute or so after its defeat. The police fodder will roam across the map by teleporting back and forth between populated spots in the map unless it is aggro’d.

The police monster gives huge exp and loot (like, almost glowing blue+gold mob bonus exp) and can be defeated even solo by a person around that level if they’re good enough. The unique part about it is that it can use some kind of AoE that gives off a warning that a giant unblockable/undodgable AoE is about to drop around the monster and that if you’re still in that area, you are hit by an insta-kill attack or some kind of banish spell that send you back to town.
