The real Class Reset solution

A TP potion that will let you reset your current rank class(which means one pot = one rank reset), but with a twist. Instead of letting you reset your class and let you pick another, this potion will also reset your exp to how it was when you choose the class rank you wanted to reset.

Example:

  • I’m a level 245 wanting to reset my 7th rank, what this will do is not only resetting that 7th rank and let you choose a new one, but it also reduce my level to where it was when I choose my 7th rank, which is 228.

What this will do is it won’t let people abuse this system by picking easy lvling class then reset all their classes to the OP build that is hard to level etc. With this, people won’t whine about this but also players that screw up their build now get their second chance but with some penalty to it.

TL;DR

  • Small penalty for ■■■■■■■ your build up
  • No more whining this will make people take easy lvling build then reset
  • IMC get tons of money because people in general are morons and will screw up their build

Okay, so if you’re at rank 7 but want to reset your rank 2 class you will get back to lvl ~15 without quests to do, why not just reroll the character then?

I don’t get it…just reroll…you can get lvl 200 in a week. or less if you know what ur doing…

Not everyone is a no life that can play for 24/7.

I know, I would say reroll too but there just have to be a way to shut all these people up while at the same time making people like you to be happy that this system is not abuseable.

They can make a non abuseable reset system, just make it that the item used for reset only resets 1 class, and limit the uses for something like 3 times for the same character, that way you can’t lvl with a whole build focused in PvE, and then at high lvl change to a whole build focused in PvP.
About the lvl reset, I’d say to only reset the class exp for the ranking you choose to reset.

No you don’t get the point of my thread. You can ultimately reset all you want, but it will also reset your base experience to where it was before you take the next rank.

This is what most people are mad about. People taking the easy pve class to get high lvl, then reset their class while keeping the base lvl which technically will make it easier to level to class exp again since you’ll be killing higher lvl mobs. With my suggestion players can’t abuse this, since their base level will drop as well.

So if you choose to reset a rank 2 class you would only lose the exp needed from lvl ~15 to lvl ~45, and the class exp needed for the lvl 1-15 rank 2 class?

Only if that is your current rank. You can’t reset rank 2 when you’re at rank 7, you gotta reset all the way so that you don’t get that base level advantage.

At the same time though, who would be that dumb to do that?

Well, if you started playing a swordsman you will only notice that you screwed up with your rank 2-4 classes when you’re close to lvl 200 already, so with your solution reroll is still a better option.

So your solution to class resets is make everyone basically re-level back to rank 7, which ends up being much longer depending on how far back they reset?

At some point you’re just better off remaking your character anyways. That class experience grinding sounds awful if you consider that, since you reset, you are going to have lost majority of your skills and skillpoints and somehow have to be able to kill things still which could be at level 200+.

Without any skills cuz you just reset that’d be a horrible experience. Imagine running a dungeon with a few people who just reset too. Most gimped party ever.

This idea is so flawed my brain is oozing out of my head.

Who cares seriously. At least there is a WAY to do this, but with penalty if players are dumb enough to not read guides/class skills/etc.

Then you would rather them keep their base level, hence making everyone play the one trick build to 280 and then reset all their classes to end game pvp build? That is exactly what made people refuse class reset idea in the first place.

How are you supposed to exp 200+ with no skills beyond your base circle 1 skills? Mooch off people?

You misunderstood something here lol. Basically…

Player A decided to choose Musketeer as his 7th rank at level 230. After leveling to base level 243, he then think he made the wrong choice and would like to reset r7 Musketeer. Upon using the class reset potion:

  • His base level goes back to 230
  • He loses his Musketeer class exp, dropping back to his r6 class with level 15 class exp and are able to choose another class immediately.

The main point on this is the base class drop as well, with this you can’t powerlevel with easy pve class to 280, then reset your classes to OP meta build.

edit: I think I’ll just put this as solution since it’s easier to understand.

I already made the exact same suggestion but even harsher that if you reset a Rank you have to regrind the EXP on the current Rank you have.

Nevermind people just said NO without any good argument.

Yes rerolling might be faster but guess what - character bound items and to be honest maybe you just want to continue playing your char and grind with friends. Like this you can grind with friends on lvl 280 without problems and boards which would be really nice. But resetting the base level. Dunno I think it is bad. It does not make much of a difference as you have to grind anyways but you can not grind with your friends then. Also you would need to grind lvl 280 maps then which would take load off lower maps.

There is no need reset… Jus remove swordsman from the game will do. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes::stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes::stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
