The music is extremely good

Hello.
I am Al and I had to share my story on how I discovered this game.

I was listening to game music when i suddenly heard a serie of tracks that blew my mind wide open.
As a gamer who loves good music, I looked for the source of the music and it lead me to here.

When new games are being made, most developers dont seem to care about the soundtracks.
Just the sound itslef is sometimes good enough to capture a persons attention.

I cant wait to explore the world in that game while listening to music that affects a persons emotions hard enough to jerk out some tears.

Music in a game iis as important as the gameplay!
See you guys in the game when I have a beta key!

Make sure you stitch your mind together first

Could’t agree more!

My experience was similar, I was checking out the game because a friend borrowed me his account to test it, and wow since the first map I was amazed of how good the music was. After that, when I got too involved and busy in the grinding I kinda forgot about the music, but then suddenly I went to another new map and wow, i dont remember the name of the map but the song was amazing, then after that I moved to another map and same…

And yeah its pretty rare and awesome that the developers invested such time and probably sources to get this music in the game

Yes it is -

Was wondering if there was a BGM-appreciation thread, or if anyone is even talking about the music here, because it’s so nice, I could play this game for a long time just for the atmosphere, and it deserves mention!

I already have 30 BGMs rated 5stars in my player, and I only rate ones I’ve encountered ingame at least once.

There is only a few tracks that can get annoying at times (they all happen to be from Symphonix, but some of theirs are also great), one in the deeper Crystal Mines and one in the Royal Mausoleum (F4 I think), but besides those, THE MUSIC IS FREAKING BEAUTIFUL

Gawd, all those early “field”-themes brimming with hope and curiosity, the darker forest music here and there with a creepy piano etc, the more powerful boss themes… whenever you get to some exotic or ancient location the music is just so spot-on it gives you goosebumps. Some places I feel instantly nostalgic about even though I’ve never visited them before. It mixes so extremely well with the visuals of this game.

I’ve just gotten to Fedimian for the first time a few days ago, and it blows Klaipeda out of the water and is now my main town period.

This is some Golden Sun-level music right there.

They’ve outdone themselves so far, and if there is more tracks coming with more content in the future, I’m not going anywhere.

November Rain OMG, i was blown with that song. I just do my stuff and klaipedia or fedimian, and then warp to passage of the recluse just to listen to that.

Check it. Superb, as the rest of the OST. it’s just…superb, can’t express in words how much i like it, how it changes the game, the feeling when facing a boss, or in new places. They have made an incredible job, amaaaaaaaaazing picking all this artists and songs to match the situation.

I listen to this OST while ingame, while im at work, traveling , etc…

the music is fantastic and when the Trance starts ripping. The grind feels so surreal. LMFAO

I don’t think the BGMs are that good.
I mean, yes it sounds pretty good but it doesn’t have emtions in it, I guess?
Well not ALL of them are that bad, tbh, but it was like… 1 out of 10 turns out to be good.
I heard that soundTEMP are doing the musics for this game but i felt kinda dissappointed. Since I was a RO player before.

Some might call me a RO maniac but the BGMs back then are what I called awesome. It has the emotion of each particular map.
For exemple “Prontera Theme” gives me the exact feeling of a capital city, where people are happily living with each other. In contrast, “Klaipedia Theme” doesn’t really give me the emotions a capital in chaos and sadness would have, it was more like a military camp in ready for battle.

Yeah honestly game aside. ToS should win some soundtrack of the year award(s) in mmo’s/gaming in general.

I think ToS soundtrack is just as good. Nostalgia may cloud your opinion though. Like I find klapedia song just as good as prontera (I do miss that login music in RO that sounded so mysterious)

but neither Klaipeda nor Fedimian are capital cities… If anything they are “military camps” or refugee camps of sorts

Maybe the problem is that the BGMs are not catchy enough? Throughout the CBT I couldn’t even recall any BGM sounds good enough to be remembered.

There was once when I heard the BGM of Yuno, I literally got lost in the music. There were many examples of this like Dream of a Whale or Good Morning (this one is something you can only hear once per character you made but it still sounds good enough to be in my mind for hours). And these are all made by soundTEMP.

P/s: anyone got the feeling that majority of the field map’s BGM are dance music? o_o

Yes it is, i loved some soundtracks so much.

Haha, yeah. Personally, I don’t quite like those electro dance in dungeons. It ruins the dark feeling of those dungeons for me.
