I don’t expect we’ll see the typical TP purchases until after they’ve cleared things with Steam (i.e. ensured that there is no way to exploit payments). Or until they’ve fully tested their own methods to prevent it. Previously one exploit could give the user a very limited amount of TP, but since the standard TP purchases going forward would likely be at a monthly limit around $500 (or no limit as many games don’t mind the surplus cash) … one slip-up could completely shatter the in-game economy overnight on tokens and hats. Especially tokens. Being the alternative “premium membership” kind of item, IMC is banking on recurring minimums every month (whether it is from players selling them for silver or for re-upping their own memberships). Having an available exploit to purchase and sell those is pretty much game over; if IMC can’t profit on their number 1 expected sale item (tokens) then they’re left with a few hairstyles and costumes and enchant scrolls until they can fill out the shop a bit better. And with our current selection it would pretty much result in going out of business lol (hint hint, IMC we would love more effects and cosmetics etc! lol)
To be fair, it isn’t as if IMC is making no money at all. I’m sure the Korean version is booming right now. Yeah they are still missing a lot here but its not hopeless.
