Apparently from the pictures and conversation, he needed cash for “planes and stuff” and released an exploit that up to 10 clients he will sell for $500, 6 clients that chose to buy the exploit.
Somehow I don’t see the FBI going all the way over to Brazil.
Did these people pay $500 for the exploit? You could gain so much from investing this amount into TP - idiots who go for the illegal route with so much money spent.

I don’t recall what he said about how long he had his exploit active. Was it 2-3 days or 2-3 weeks? Or longer? The sheer number of items that were deleted (along with the silver) from well before someone went and derp’d the market suggests that some people were actually playing it smart and not abusing it in an obvious way.
Its highly likely that it was active for 2 weeks but kept low key. The person came back on september 15th (his post about the FBI) so I would guess that it came sept 16th or later
