Well there’s really nothing wrong with that, you know. Back then in RO, we had these things called Super Novice, which were lv99 Novices (These are not to be confused with the super novices found in Al de Baran, those came in later as a cash cow milking attempt). That’s hardly funny or trollish, and has some form of achievement in its own right for the ToS counterpart.
If by all means he wants to, let him.

Say what you want about Swordsmen, but if you want to take a rank1 class to level 280 without making any class advancements, Swordsman is definitely your best bet. Natural AoE attacks, Concentrate strongest rank 1 class damage ability, bash for CC, stab for +100% damage from attributes (rank 1 enhance attributes are really cheap!), I believe in One Star.
