The left out group: The loyal player

Two things I hope that we can discuss and hopefully IMC will take our discussion into consideration:

  1. I have been playing TOS and recent months there are the GET AHEAD EVENT which, don’t get me wrong, is awesome. I see many people zoomed past my lvl 230 character within hours upon account creation. My question is that for loyal player as ourselves whom had spent countless hour in the game, would it also not be nice to also receive similar perks as the new player? Fairness aside, I felt that IMC should also take care of loyal avid player while trying top attract new players. I mean we are ald die hard fans, we would definitely also spend money on the game too.

  2. I have recently purchased a rank reset for one of my older character. and upon reset, I kinda messed up one circle (-,- I know, my bad). To my horror, I can’t get any rank reset form the store anymore (One Steam account to one DLC, unless I get it from my Adventure Journal lvl 13, which I’ve ald used it long ago for my other older character). Obviously, I tried to contact IMC immediately stating my request to help with the reset or at least sell me one more. As my character circle was messed up at circle 6, I couldn’t and didn’t proceed with the rest of the rank reset lvl card.

I honestly felt a tinge of betrayal from the very game that I loved abd spent so much time on. Literally no one in IMC has the ability to answer to a simple request/question as such, and kept replying the same brief “sorry we can’t do anything, please look out for the update” time after time, every time i sent in a follow up ticket. What a disappointing way to handle your loyal player. At one point even suggesting me to create a new character and start over, knowing well that I can’t get the GET AHEAD event box (old account).

I hope those who’ve experience similar incident could also share in this space on how we can better come out with a suggestion and for IMC to taker into consideration the different accounts. Cheers!

New players get free stuff just for being new, what do old players get? failure halloween event full of exploiters with cheat engine

They should make some small exclusive events for people who have a long time here to at least get nice stuff to be balanced at pvp

I actually detest the new player events that they are holding constantly. You won’t be getting many new players with those types of things you give out. New players would feel lost and confused being fed insanely good timed items and leveling quickly and missing out on half the game. The only thing this event does it enforce people to make new bot accounts, free gear for more efficient botting for 30 days with easy leveling… it’s a bit pathetic.
If I was a new player I would have loved to get several skill / stat reset potions, rank resets just because you would want to try out different classes or fix up your character incase you don’t like certain skills. EXP is fine but not really needed, you level quickly as it is in the game.

Having more events that reward loyal players, or events that promote teamplay for guilds and groups of friends are way better for the game as it keeps your playerbase interested in playing. What’s the point of new players if they boost through the entire game in 2 days and don’t have anything left to do besides waiting for their equipment to run out of time and have a naked high level character without any means of gearing themselves.

The idea behind them is fine, but the amount of free stuff a ‘new player’ gets from one of these events is absolutely ridiculous. And should be toned down in some degree.

As far as loyal player events go those would be the active player events and while we do get some decent rewards from them they just pale in comparison to other events. As previously mentioned I would enjoy more co-operative events, but I would enjoy much more difficult ones.

Oh ya, and I really would enjoy maybe like 1 event a month not 3-6 to worry about, it just becomes pick and choose at that point.

Completely undeveloped, so feel free to tear this a new one… but how do you guys feel about some kind of mentor system/event? The idea would be to get experienced players to interact with new ones, and somehow get rewarded for such.

I’m afraid I don’t have a concrete way on how this could work (partially because I’m sleepy, now), so let’s stick to the mere concept of it. XD

Loyal player reporting in.

The late events are turning me away from this game. I’ve just been running daily Saalus and done events for months now (with the occasional leveling up of a new character). I’m not running ET and I’m not in a guild, yet I’m one of those people who log in every day to get pointless crap and make your game more lively.

But these events annoy me to no end now. I was hoping that after a crappy PvP event (an event that I pass up on because I will never ever engage in PvP activities in ToS), the theoretically interesting but practically annoying Pokemon event and the other boring events (“guess the right number” which essentially turned into yet another new player event with the new “collect elite mob badges” turn that it took) we would finally get some normal PvE content event again that you can participate in with your high level chars. But noooo, we get “Survival Instinct” once more. More “let yourself get beaten up, it’s so fun XD” crap that I don’t feel like putting up with. The awful rewards certainly will not make me endure this again either (which I’m actually glad about). Whoever thought that reviving an event with a terrible reputation would be a good idea?

I’ve been thinking about playing other games for a while now with this lack of endgame content. The late choice of events is starting to become the tipping point where I’m actually dusting off for real.

Also screw event rewards where you get equipment for free that people had to put in a lot of effort at some point.

Something IMC should consider is to give new accounts milestone system for achieving new levels, completed X ammount of quests, and exploration.
^
We actually already got this, but IMC could run new account campaigns with even greater rewards using the samesystem.

Not showering new accounts with tools to lvl ASAP, To name a few items:

x8 xp tome
Multiply token
Scroll teleporting player right outside the dungeon

They literally strip away the gaming experience all the way up to lvl 330 on multiple ammounts of characters.
I can understand why new players feel lost once they reach a certain level.

Like for example
"Help me decide my skill rotation and gear progression, I am new player who join 2 days ago and my xxxx char is lv320."

New player events just feed botters and gold sellers since they can boost up a chaplain to farming level within hours.

even loyal players are leaving

IMC seems unable to do basic things and i don’t know if some mechanics are wanted or not (ex. see goddess medals).
They are not a big company but they are hitting the rock bottom right now with their lack of communication and nonsense.

with so many quests that can give exp cards they just give out level 8 exp tome and boosting new accounts experience like crazy.
with so many weapons and armor with unique effects they introduce Hunting grounds gears.
Mats required to craft Orange practo weapons, i don’t think i have to explain the difference in crafting a Regard Horn Pike and a Skull smasher

the list of how IMC logic totally does not make sense is too long,
and i think players sooner or later will give up trying to understand them
