Great GTW for us this week too.

Yeah, 3 variations of Druid-Miko. Diverse, indeed.
Well, it is better than Wizard’s, Swordsman’s and Archer’s.

Crevox being Crevox, I guess, making the notion of “damage weakness” meaningless. Still, congratulations!

Xandy just showing off when PS makes the difference.

So, a Devil Lightning Plate boss.
Being Devil, it has higher modifiers for damage, but lower defensive stats. So the damage may be a little higher this week (specially if you play with Exorcist), if the player survives long enough.
Being Plate means higher physical defense and lower magical defense, but also means more vulnerable for Strike and Cannon. Shield-SWs will feel a little better, Cannoneer-Matross’ will just cry in the corner for that means too little unfortunately and I am pretty sure summons deal a lot of strike damage, so Crevox will be high there again, and other summoners maybe.
Lightning means more resistance against Ark-Thunder, Ark-Storm and Taoist. I do hope it will change the rankings, but those with a lot of resources are already 110% on SM-FF-Tao (and planing to update it when Ep13 arrives), so the only way to change the rankings for Wizard-tree are the Summoners doing great.

My predictions for the next week’s boss ranking:
-Swordsmans: no changes;
-Archers: no changes (where are the Ranger-Mergen-Fletcher, which seems to perform so well on kTOS? It must be the 64bits…);
-Wizards: SM-FF-Tao because. And Crevox will be high because;
-Clerics: Magic-Clerics will just assert dominance over Physic-Clerics;
-Scouts: SR-Enchanters will deal less damage, so we will see ‘less’ SR-Enchanters, like we are already seeing.

Actually a fairly interesting distribution:

  1. Miko PD Druid
  2. Miko Exo Crusader
  3. Miko Exo Sadhu
  4. Miko Exo Crusader
  5. Miko Exo Druid

edit: Actually it’s interesting that each base class really sort of has one of these outlier supporting classes like miko (or appraiser and taoist for now).

We still never got the appraiser changes that ktos had weeks prior from where we are on WBR weeks, which has completely skewed ours. So very little build variance in top 10 outside like 1 fletcher, 2 arbas, and 1 musket falc (hi).

[The iToS Weekly Round-up]

Welcome to your weekly dose of info round-up on Guild Territory Wars, Boruta Raids and Weekly Boss Raids on every server! In here, I will be doing on covering on all servers, Klaipeda, Fedimian, Telsiai, Silute and any new happenings in Tree of Savior every week on Monday/Tuesday!

[January Week 1, 2021]

Firstly, a wonderful Happy New Year 2021, and best wishes that it won’t be as crap as 2020 was! The New Year brings new events, including the upcoming Happy 2021 Festival event to commemorate the occasion, though IMC will also start implementing rather … weird Trade Grade restrictions. As always, no class balances or any notable issues, so expect the meta to remain the same as always.

IMC has been on a roll with their updates (or just releasing them part-by-part) with the release of Giltine’s Guild Raid. It is interesting to note that guilds cannot use the same players for both Giltine and Boruta Guild Raid, and it’ll take guilds with both the quality and quantity in guild members to dominate both rankings. IMC also intends to change their “Hope To Development” monthly dev blogs (basically IMC’s way of addressing a few playerbase feedback) to weekly, which will hopefully allow better communication with their playerbase. Find out more at KToS’s weekly report, 50th Weekly Boss: Link.

[GTW and Boruta Raid]

[Guild Territory Wars]

STABILIZED_SERVER STABILIZED_SERVER STABILIZED_SERVER STABILIZED_SERVER STABILIZED_SERVER

The first GTW of the year starts off with a repeat Telsiaimensquare Massacre 2.0 on Telsiai, with IMC’s perfect “Server Stabilization” causing Telsiai players to be unable to log in or even play properly during the period 1hr before GTW and after GTW due to Commander Load Fail issues. Things went back to normal after GTW though, probably a GTW and server issue. Despite the issues though, Telsiai remains as peaceful and unchanging as always, to the point that I don’t bother changing Telsiai’s side of the GTW graphics for more almost a month. I’m personally curious if other servers faced any issues in their GTW this week, do tell if you had issues as well.

Fedimian sees a complete turn-around as the ownership of the Champion League maps have completely been flipped over to Maid Cafe’s advantage, with CarpeDiev taking Genar Field, and Maid Cafe taking Aqueduct Bridge Area and Baron Allerno, territories that once belonged to each other. The spot left by Maid Cafe, Sventimas Exile, is up for grabs and Eternity seized their chance amidst the chaos. Seems like a fun war is to come for Fedimian with how they started the new year.

The rest of the servers seem rather peaceful from the table alone. Klaipeia sees a new guild, Variant, appear on the list, taking Nuoridin Falls previously held by Impetus. Melody also rose back up this GTW, taking Aqueduct Bridge Area from FullMoonCafe this week to leave them only with Salvia Forest. Similarly in Silute, Australe came back up this week to take Baron Allerno from Paradise (that guild icon change was quick), but otherwise nothing much has changed.

Klaipeda

  • Aqueduct Bridge Area: Melody (previously FullMoonCafe)
  • Nuoridin Falls: Variant (previously Impetus)

Fedimian

  • Genar Field: CarpeDiev (previously Maid Cafe)
  • Aqueduct Bridge Area: Maid Cafe (previously CarpeDiev)
  • Baron Allerno: Maid Cafe (previously CarpeDiev)
  • Sventimas Exile: Eternity (previously Maid Cafe)

Telsiai

  • No change, not even a Telsiaimensquare Massacre 2.0 changed this

Silute

  • Baron Allerno: Australe (previously Paradise)

[Boruta Raid]

Kicking off the New Year, 2 guilds have attained under-10 minute Boruta Runs this week as opposed to last week. Klaipeia’s all-out war left Melody, Tornado and Alpha out of the Boruta Rankings this week, and Impetus has once again finished the raid in under 10 minutes. Silute also has similar results, with Paradise’s dominion last week leaving FireEmblem and Australe out of the rankings. Skyline has bounced back to 2nd as well, a nice return to form while Paradise still holds first place in Silute.

On the other side of things in Fedimian, Maid Cafe remains ahead of CarpeDiev this week, while nothing’s changed in Telsiai as always. YN of Telsiai has consistently achieved under-10 minute Boruta Raid clears, and has also cleared the raid the fastest this week at 8 minutes 23 seconds.

[40th Weekly Boss Raid Results]

The 40th Weekly Boss is a breath of fresh air due to its ease, especially after the consecutive weeks of Weekly Bosses with annoying traits to work with. Along with the boss being weak to Earth/Poison?Strike/Cannon, this Weekly Boss is also a great time for Physical DPS builds to shine due to its weakness to physical damage and increased resistance to magic damage. Among all Physical DPS builds, Kirarin of Telsiai has dealt the most damage across all class trees and servers this week as a Fencer | Matador | Barbarian dealing 17.0 B.

  • Top Swordsman Build:
    • Kirarin [Telsiai], Fencer | Matador | Barbarian, 17.0 B
  • Top Wizard Build:
    • Crevox [Klaipeia], Sorcerer | Necromancer | Featherfoot, 13.4 B
  • Top Archer Build:
    • DestinedWing [Telsiai], Mergen | Ranger | Appraiser, 16.1 B
  • Top Cleric Build:
    • Bluvoyei [Telsiai], Inquisitor | Zealot | Druid, 9.2 B
  • Top Scout Build:
    • Tyhz [Telsiai], Schwarzer Reiter | Assassin | Enchanter, 8.5 B

[Swordsman]

There isn’t much else to say about the toothpick Fencer | Matador | Barbarian meta build taking top spot for Swordsmen this week with Strike Swordsmen being too lackluster to compete. Kirarin of Telsiai has taken top spot this week, not only for Swordsmen on all servers but on all class trees, with a commanding 17.0 B damage record. All top swordsmen on all servers run the same build, no surprises here.

[Wizard]

The summoner meta reigns supreme due to the advantageous traits of this week’s boss, and Crevox puts Klaipeia on the round-up with a Sorcerer | Necromancer | Featherfoot build to deal the most damage for Wizards this week at 13.4 B. Considering the traits of this week’s boss, every other wizard rankers on other servers surprisingly ran with the bossing Shadowmancer | Featherfoot | Taoist build.

The Wizard rankings this week is also rather hilarious when taking into account last week’s contrasting results, where Crevox brute-forced with the summoner build to get the top wizard rank of Klaipeia while everyone else ran the bossing Shadowmancer build, and that the opposite happened this week where everyone else brute-forced their way to top wizard rank of their respective servers instead.

[Archer]

The Mergen | Ranger | Appraiser build remains strong as always even when considering the traits of this boss to be advantageous for Cannon builds, as DestinedWing of Telsiai has attained the highest damage dealt for Archers across all servers, dealing 16.1 B this week. The strength of Bow builds aside, it would be nice if IMC could buff Cannon builds enough to at least be competitive in bosses that Cannon builds have advantage over. All top archer rankers run the same Mergen build, and there will probably be no change for some time.

[Cleric]

Physical DPS builds shine this week, and Inquisitor builds take centre stage this week, especially the standard Inquisitor | Zealot | Druid build. Bluvoyei of Telsiai rose on top of the competition this week for clerics with the aforementioned build, dealing 9.2 B against the boss. Every cleric top ranker except Fedimian ran the same build, while Fedimian’s top ranker ran an Inquisitor | Zealot | Monk build.

[Scout]

Scout once again features every Assassin variant under the sun with how important Assassin is to Scout’s damage. Tyhz of Telsiai took top scout spot this week (someone stop him please), dealing 8.5 B with a Schwarzer Reiter | Assassin | Enchanter build. Klaipeia’s and Silute’s top ranker runs a Bullet Marker | Sheriff | Assassin build while Fedimian’s top ranker runs a Rangda | Linker | Assassin build this week. It may be of interest to point out that the difference in damage between the Schwarzer Reiter build and the Bullet Marker build is comparably close this week, so prospective Bullet Markers may have a chance to top the Schwarzer Reiter build during this meta.

I am happy to be wrong in most of my predictions from last week
And I cry every time I see “Sandstorm” as a mechanic in the Weekly Boss
Congratz to the Scouts, showing what can be done with more than C to be pressed.

This Weekly Boss’ weakness is being Mutant (means more defensive stats) and Ice (almost irrelevant).
So the challenge will be “who survives longer”. And SM-FF-Tao is too good at it, so yeah…

And can somebody explain what happened last week, that Chaplain rose like “zero to hero” to 1st place on kTOS’ Weekly boss?

Everyone is getting used to Chaplain AA mechanic. Pop smite or crusader skills to keep up the Saint’s oath effect and maximize out additional damage for Chaplain VVR to take effective. Keep in mind you need at least 50k to max out the 100% bonus for binatio (0.2% per 100 additional damage).

Max attribute+art for binatio = 2,493% x 2 = 4,986% per swing for 30 seconds.

If somehow player managed to get 100% skill boosted from Chaplain VVR, we can see something like:

9,972% skill factor (Let not forget Chaplain’s Level 4 final skill factor 30%, so it might be more). This is the dream skill factor by the way since getting 50k additional damage is extremely difficult.

The most realistic number that you can get with max binatio (level 4 vvr + 20k+ Additional damage) is like 40% boosted from vvr + 30% final skill factor level 4 vaivora.

You can expect to see something like 6980% ~ 7900% (2x swings) skill SFR for binatio. Adding Swift Ark make it even stronger.

From what I heard, the Chaplain build used to get 7B damage on KToS was Chaplain-Zealot-Inquisitor.

Chaplain’s new changes really opened up Chaplain like how it was for Paladin when they got buffed and were given the possibility of being Magic Clerics, but better. Chaplains can go either Magic DPS Crusader and/or Exorcist, go Physical DPS with Inquisitor, or even use Chaplain Vaivora and do a Hybrid DPS Support build with Priest focusing on Additional Damage. Chaplain being such a standalone class makes it a flexible class that can be placed in most build combinations, which is nice compared to how it was stuck with only Monk before. Questions about Chaplain’s viability were thrown around when the changes came, but it seems like the results are starting to show up.

Chaplain is finally not a low-tier class anymore. :innocent:

forgot to add the insane amount of attacks per second korean players can do because of low ping, cant really compare a korean reiter here vs itos reiter, never saw a reiter here do the same dmg on any weekly boss since the reiter boom. ping is a huge factor in this kind of builds.

https://kyotos.hatenablog.jp/entry/2021/01/05/152505

i believe, none of them is a SR anymore.

this is week 40, r1 was reiters there.

There’s a whole host of changes we have not gotten yet that ktos had gotten by this WBR week.

Damn I didn’t even know this thread existed. I’ve only been running once every week and calling it a night so I really haven’t been tryharding :x

1 ms ping korea server! I wish we had this kind of ping.

Haha, its just something I started after seeing how KToS and even JToS have their own “weekly reports” but we have no such thing in IToS. To be honest, I’m just making this hoping IMC sees this thread one day and decides to revive their “ToS Magazine” to do these “weekly reports” instead.

All the best for your WBR, and hope you found these round-ups helpful!~

[January Week 2, 2021]

This week seems to be a little quiet in the servers of IToS, pretty much since everyone’s most likely in hibernation saving up resources for future patches. Along with the ongoing Happy 2021 Festival event, maybe IMC picked up on this, and decided to bestow despair in the form of more RNG content AKA an updated Demon God’s Temptation prize pool and another round of Leticia once again, but with 10 Archstone Fragments as one of the prizes in the prize pool (IMC, really?). While there are no class changes as always AKA no meta shifts expected, there has been player feedback that the servers are running very smooth this week, especially for Boruta Raid, so we may expect changes unrelated to meta shifts.

image

Meanwhile in the lands of KToS, IMC shared their intentions to make their “Hope to Development Team” updates (basically IMC’s Q&A with players) into weekly instead of monthly, and I may be interested in linking them here in the foreseeable future. Given all the patches they have done to KTest and KToS in the past few weeks, they may also be taking a break with the patches this week. I was personally confused by why no KToS guild did Giltine’s Guild Raid last week, but it seems they have finally attempted the raid this week sporting times of over 1 hour, so we may be in for a very rough fight in future. [GTW and Boruta Raid]

[Guild Territory Wars]

Once again, all is well in the lands of Telsiai where the world knows no pain and I don’t have to expect any changes which makes my information gathering so much easier. Of course, this is never the case for the other 3 servers, as Klaipeda sees the guild Melody being kicked out of Champion’s League this week and being unable to secure a Challenger’s League Map as well. Melody’s constant appearance and disappearance in these GTWs does make me wonder if the guild is in rivalry with the guilds that usually dominate Klaipeda’s GTW. Fedimian seems to have some guild rivalry going on with Maid Cafe and CarpeDiev, with both guilds constantly trading blows and taking over each other’s territory as observed from previous weeks, but the bigger stand-out (personally) would be EriLayne’s complete domination of Fedimian’s Challenger League, taking all 3 maps for themselves. Congratulations to EriLayne for this wonderful feat!

skytalento parasemteto

I was sent a few memes about Silute’s GTW for this week’s round-up, and I was indeed surprised to check Silute’s GTW and see that Paradise has been wiped off Silute’s GTW this week. The bigger surprise though, was that it doesn’t seem to be something solely caused by Skyline’s victory this week, but rather an uprising of various guilds outside the Paradise-Skyline rivalry, with Australe and LIMIT taking Aqueduct Bridge Area and Baron Allerno respectively. With how strong Paradise had been showing in previous weeks, it really brings into question what in Silute’s name happened to them, be it the birth of an alliance or miscellaneous troubles. Do tell if anyone knows .

Klaipeda

  • Aqueduct Bridge Area: FullMoonCafe (previously Melody)
  • Nuoridin Falls: Impetus (previously Variant)
  • Sventimas Exile: Alpha (previously Infinity)
  • Salvia Forest: Tornado (previously FullMoonCafe)

Fedimian

  • Genar Field: Maid Cafe (previously CarpeDiev)
  • Aqueduct Bridge Area: CarpeDiev (previously Maid Cafe)
  • Sventimas Exile: EriLayne (previously Eternity)
  • Salvia Forest: EriLayne (previously Eternity)

Telsiai

  • YOU’LL NEVER SEE IT COMI- JK, no change

Silute

  • Aqueduct Bridge Area: Australe (previously Paradise)
  • Baron Allerno: LIMIT (previously Australe)
  • Nuoridin Falls: Aqua (previously LIMIT)
  • Salvia Forest: FireEmblem (previously Aqua)

[Boruta Raid]

Servers were reported to be running smooth (as feedbacked by other players), and it definitely shows in some guilds. Most Klaipeda guilds seem to be running very well, with times very close to the 10-minute mark for most guilds, and Fedimian timings seem to be improving with every week. 2 guilds have surpassed the 10-minute mark this week with Paradise of Silute and especially YN of Telsiai being the fastest guild this week with a time of 8 minutes 0 seconds, almost breaking through the 8 minute mark. With such stellar and fascinating results, one can only wonder how they did it, its like YN had something important to them taken hostage every week to push such a zealous drive into their Boruta Raid timings.

[41st Weekly Boss Raid Results]

I’ll fully admit, I’ve been busy this week and lack much free time to make any analysis into this week’s WBR to make any proper comments about it for all classes, so I’ll probably not be writing as much in this section as I’ve always been, apologies for that. Overall, my shallow impressions of this boss is its iffy traits that’s probably hard to work with for most classes, and its Sandstorm-Eye Light mechanic, something I am not a fan of. -Asuna of Telsiai edged out and topped the WBR rankings this week for all class trees and servers, dealing 12.3 B damage with a Fencer | Matador | Barbarian swordsman build.

  • Top Swordsman Build:
    • -Asuna [Telsiai], Fencer | Matador | Barbarian, 12.3 B
  • Top Wizard Build:
    • OldFlame [Telsiai], Shadowmancer | Featherfoot | Taoist, 12.0 B
  • Top Archer Build:
    • DestinedWing [Telsiai], Mergen | Ranger | Appraiser, 12.0 B
  • Top Cleric Build:
    • RoseQuartz [Telsiai], Plague Doctor | Druid | Miko, 7.4 B
  • Top Scout Build:
    • Tyhz [Telsiai], Schwarzer Reiter | Enchanter | Assassin, 6.5 B

[Swordsman]

Once again, no surprises that the toothpick build is in top form this week and many weeks to come as observed from KToS rankings. -Asuna of Telsiai has taken top spot for damage for all swordsmen and class trees this week, dealing 12.3 B damage with a Fencer | Matador | Barbarian build. All swordsmen rankers on all servers run the same build, as always.

(YN-sponsored meme)

[Wizard]

Bossing build meets Boss as the Shadowmancer | Featherfoot | Taoist build once again tops the Wizard rankings, with OldFlame of Telsiai taking top spot for wizards for all servers with 12.0 B damage. Even in current KToS patches, Shadowmancer-focused builds still dominate the WBR rankings there (though some builds have started popping up to overtake it at times), so we will see Shadowmancers for the long time to come. Every wizard ranker runs the same build except Klaipada’s top ranker who runs a Sorcerer | Necromancer | Featherfoot.

[Archer]

Just like the Swordsmen and Wizard meta, the Archer meta will not be changing for the long time to come as the Mergen | Ranger | Appraiser build once again ranks on top for archers. DestinedWing of Telsiai, in particular, has topped over all archers with the most damage dealt by an archer, dealing 12.0 B damage this week. As always, Archer rankers on all servers run the same build, and this won’t change for a long time until Appraiser nerfs (currently in KToS) arrives to IToS.

[Cleric]

Unlike the first 3 class trees, the meta for Clerics seem to be more diverse with various builds popping up each week. The Plague Doctor class has really taken off in IToS as a strong magic cleric damage dealer, as RoseQuartz of Telsiai has dealt the most damage as a cleric on all servers, dealing 7.4 B damage as a Plague Doctor | Druid | Miko. Klaipeda’s and Fedimian’s top cleric ran Inquisitor variants, Inquisitor | Zealot | Druid and Inquisitor | Zealot | Monk respectively, while Silute’s top cleric runs the same Plague Doctor build.

[Scout]

Scout diversity exists in the name of Assassin, and Tyhz of Telsiai (boil this scout in a pool of lava, please) has taken top spot for Scouts with a Schwarzer Reiter | Enchanter | Assassin build dealing 6.5 B damage this week. Oh, how I wish the Scout buffs come sooner and see anything but Schwarzer Reiter on top. Klaipeda and Silute ran the same Bullet Marker | Sheriff | Assassin build while Fedimian runs the same Rangda | Linker | Assassin.
