[June Week 5 - July Week 1, June 29 - July 5, 2021]

This week marks the end of the month-long Summer Campfire event (gathered all those Attribute Points?) and marks the advent of the new month-long 21 Summer Festa event where IMC makes the IToS player base commit innumerable acts of brutality against innocent watermelons for the sake of event prizes while hiding how nothing much is going on in the IToS community as the farming phase leading into the next big patch continues. As details continue to come in over the next content patch, it is advised for the player base to prepare accordingly to fully reap the changes that comes with the Project: NEXT.

Meanwhile at KToS land, IMC has been hard at work since the last week until now, finally releasing the new Project: NEXT content patch (or part of it, still waiting for the developer’s blog on PvP changes and more) with repeated KTest patches all the way until 8/7/2021, where IMC will finally bring the content patch over to KToS. As there is simply too much to cover from these patch notes to write here, I’ll leave some links instead:

A bit of context here:

Apparently, Silute’s GTW suffered a mishap with Genar Field, where many competitive guilds rushed to enter Genar Fields at the same time for capture and caused Genar Field’s GTW map itself to crash for the entirety of the GTW’s duration. Due to that, no one is able to capture Silute’s Genar Field this week as the map itself is down, making it impossible in the first place.
Silute is free from Paradise for one week

[July Week 2, July 6 - July 12, 2021]

Today marks the launch of IMC’s latest initiative to welcome new/returning players to the game with the introduction of the Tree of Savior Support Guild to help out such players get into the game. New/Returning players are automatically entered into this player-operated guild where they can receive help in understanding the game with the guild’s Vice Guild Masters or Vice GMs who are selected veterans that are sure to help your way (the Guild Master is a GM but the majority of the help is provided by the Vice GMs instead):

… so do treat these new/returning players kindly and help them out when they’re in trouble!

The KToS player base are currently having fun with their latest Goddess Content Patch with upgrading their equipment with the new system as more diverse builds have appeared in their WBR rankings (other than Archer, plain bread and butter Arbalester with a side of Mergen jam) to bring hope to classes previously handicapped by Vaivora selection, equipment limitations and damage cap. However, as with every new major patch (especially this one that offers a new tier of equipment grade), the few weeks or month after is always a chaotic period for their rankings to be used as objective evidence of the meta. With that said, this week’s WBR results for KToS shows promise (other than plain Archer) if that’s anything to go by, so do look out for their rankings in these coming weeks!

IMC releasing their plans for August, including a plan to reward the top ranker of each individual class with a title … and I’m feeling so much dread at the thought of it potentially adding more rankings to the Round-Up for me to find.

[July Week 4, July 20 - July 26, 2021]

No-context meme for those who may or may not get what event I’m referring to, no words need to be said … but why IMC really, just why?

On a side note, some may have noticed that Yorocademy has taken a break from updating their KToS rankings translations, so until then I have sourced out some new translations (a huge thanks to Miyucheese of Telsiai for the translations!!) while Yorocademy is on break. All the best for Yorocademy and their Finals Exams!

While the KToS servers have recently received the latest major update, the Goddess System Patch, it may be just me but all seems to be quiet for both the player base and IMC themselves other than IMC adjusting some details in the new Goddess Raid just as adding an Attribute Level requirement to enter and so on. I’m assuming that players are busy grinding out for better items with the new Goddess System and the possibilities it allows such as previously-scrapped class ideas (like the advent of the Hoplite-Nak Muay-Dragoon build recently seen in KToS rankings) while IMC is focusing on their August plans such as new PvP content, but time will tell what’s going on within the silence and lack of fuss.

Scout builds are completely messed up with Goddess patch lol, I suppose it is mostly due to double-lv4 vaivoras being more accessible:
Ardito picking Sheriff (???) probably due to lv4 vaivora of sheriff providing +100% final damage to fanning (ardito uses channel set)
BM no longer picking Clown probably due to his vaivora’s lv4 effect being useless to him (so corsair’s or outlaw’s are better)
But clown still picked in rogue builds… Do they abuse the final damage increase to fatal roulette? Or do they simply ignore clown vaivora and pick assassin’s one?
