hey thanks for removing the “guilds under a non-aggression pact” for Klai GTW.
That definitely isn’t true and there was never any sort of pact at all. We have video proof of attacking anyone we saw xD

Anyways, keep up the great work. I always like reading through your weekly round-up. I’m really sorry to hear about your seal.

Apologies for the confusion regarding that “non-aggression pact” bit on the GTW section. I was going to address it as soon as possible while posting JToS’s weekly reports at the same time, but it seems their weekly reports have been getting more and more delayed recently (probably due to New Genesis), so I’ll go ahead and talk about that bit.

Basically, The 4lk Monk Fake News Agency tries to collect as much information as they can within reasonable means, but as they have to collect information across 4 servers, the agency sometimes misses out on finer details, especially updated GTW situations, and usually relies on GTW guild members themselves to send information over for me to update. With that said, a day or so after the Round-Up, a source told me that a certain 5 guilds have a non-aggression pact and that they all attack a certain guild but not attack each other, which is basically an alliance really, so why break it off in the first place. It sounds confusing to add an alliance bit again, so I simply edited the term “independent guilds under a non-aggression pact” in to the GTW section. After that edit, a few members of Klaipeda have come forward asking me to clarify that term and I had to explain why I wrote that, but as more and more members came forward questioning that part (some even brought proof that shows otherwise), I concluded that the original source’s information may have been incomplete, so I simply edited the non-aggression pact out. Apologies once again if it made any confusion with the Klaipeda community.

Also, JToS’s 60th Weekly Report (which is last week’s report since the report came late), if anyone is interested. I’ll stalk around a little more to wait for JToS’s 61st Weekly Report in the meantime while writing this week’s Round-Up.

[June Week 4, June 22 - June 28, 2021]

With my soul still shaken and traumatized by a Seal +5 break, the KToS servers having no Developer’s Blog PT 3 which was supposed to come last week and the IToS servers being in a slump farming phase while waiting for the next big patch, it is nice to know that there is still some great news to report:

The Tree of Savior community has been lacking an updated database ever since the sudden cessation of tos-neet’s updates (from what I know, since 15th January 2021), and the community has been troubled since with no other proper databases to check nor a site with an updated Skill Simulator. A JToS player and add-on developer, ebisuke, has taken up the mantle with this task by repurposing the open-source tos.guru database (made by rjgtav, stopped updating last year I think), and making a clone website based off it under the name [handtos.mochisuke.jp] as a new database!! Once again, this new database, handtos.mochisuke.jp, is maintained by ebisuke, NOT rjgtav who operates tos,guru.

With that said, its to be noted that this website only just launched recently, will be maintained at the same time as JToS’s maintenance time, and is still a Work-In-Progress so expect some quirks and glitches when using it. I have personally tested its Skill Simulator and found that it works great (aside how 45 class points doesn’t decrease after allocating skill points in Skill Simulator sometimes). As an add-on developer, ebisuke will probably be busy with a database to maintain on top of the add-on work, so a huge thanks for ebisuke’s efforts with the new database and I wish ebisuke all the best that it’ll succeed!!

And the meta switched back to two-handed sword builds mostly, despite rapier classes being focused toward single target and bosses (thus not doing a comparatively good enough job, it would appear). Funny how nobody is complaining now that blossoms have mostly replaced fencers, though.
Oh well, i’ll keep being fencer either way.

Well highlander BB is supposed to be boss build also, tho yea it’s slightly stronger in general boss and only losing to high crit resist boss I think

If by “is boss build” you mean “highlander has got a single art added upon that unconditionally increases atk versus bosses without any restriction”, then yeah.
Compare that with a redesign explicitely aimed for matador to deal with bosses…just to heavily nerf its buffs later so that we could keep extra points to spend on leftover crappy skills like Faena.
Whereas fencer saw an heavy nerf on epee garde along with the removal of pierce-only restriction…just to have it put back soon after (while keeping the nerf on the buff) well knowing there is no third rapier class…or compatible rapier class either, given they removed any skill that was explicitely usable with rapiers in other classes.

By now i guess they’re just going for a swinging balance where they deliberately screw classes at rotation to give everyone their turns, while willfully ignoring what the classes are actually supposed to do to begin with.

If you do not know, when bossing, they don’t use that art. Manual crossguard is far superior. And cyclone got big nerf in ktos anyway.

I was talking about highlander:defiance, actually.
I did even check if some fencer/mata/highlander build was feasible…but the only pierce skill there is crossguard. And coincidentally it’s also the only skill that explicitely requires one-handed or two handed sword. So yeah, while you could theoretically use it since the other skills haven’t got weapon restrictions, it would be rather meaningless since you have no bonus from epee garde or preparation in doing so, and no crossguard either…

[June Week 5 - July Week 1, June 29 - July 5, 2021]

This week marks the end of the month-long Summer Campfire event (gathered all those Attribute Points?) and marks the advent of the new month-long 21 Summer Festa event where IMC makes the IToS player base commit innumerable acts of brutality against innocent watermelons for the sake of event prizes while hiding how nothing much is going on in the IToS community as the farming phase leading into the next big patch continues. As details continue to come in over the next content patch, it is advised for the player base to prepare accordingly to fully reap the changes that comes with the Project: NEXT.

Meanwhile at KToS land, IMC has been hard at work since the last week until now, finally releasing the new Project: NEXT content patch (or part of it, still waiting for the developer’s blog on PvP changes and more) with repeated KTest patches all the way until 8/7/2021, where IMC will finally bring the content patch over to KToS. As there is simply too much to cover from these patch notes to write here, I’ll leave some links instead:

A bit of context here:

Apparently, Silute’s GTW suffered a mishap with Genar Field, where many competitive guilds rushed to enter Genar Fields at the same time for capture and caused Genar Field’s GTW map itself to crash for the entirety of the GTW’s duration. Due to that, no one is able to capture Silute’s Genar Field this week as the map itself is down, making it impossible in the first place.
Silute is free from Paradise for one week
