But linker’ skills don’t share debuff, only damage (even criticals are not shared!)
You sure, I’ve seem linkers sharing some weird skills around that I thought it wouldnt be possible like Time Bomb
Yeah but my BF was Linker. We tried a lot of stuff. For instance, the critical damage is not shared. In fact, every damage was individually calculated, so sometimes I killed the whole liked mob in 1 hit or sometimes, 3 of them died and then the other two. The buffs/debuffs was not shared also.
People get confused a lot about Linkers sharing debuffs. The skill that Linkers use on monsters is called Joint Penalty, and the only thing that it shares is the damage that monsters receive. It’s an awesome skill to use with high damaging skills, even more if they have some sort of AoE and you hit more than one linked enemy.
The timebomb status is not shared, Joint Penalty shares the damage that the monster receives when it explodes. Haven’t gone that far with the testing though, so i don’t know if it shares the damage that monsters receive from DOT skills, but at least i know that it doesn’t share debuffs like slows and defence reductions.
It shares the time bomb status, I’ve seem it more then once.
Lets say that the ranger uses time bomb and link goes off before time bomb explodes. Since the status time bomb was shared all monsters suffer from the time bomb damage even without the link ( I’ve tested this).
I think coursing probably doesnt share among all minions because it doesnt cause damage.
I’ve also seem other skills that deal damage and cause stun ( I think its from highlander?). All minions linked got stunned.
So as long as the skill is able to apply damage the debuff will get shared among mobs linked.
Also Coursing increases my crit chance on that minion, but my reasoning was that my crit damage on that minion would get shared to the others but Anasu said that the link doesnt share crit damage ( which is strange, I think probably a bug).
Maybe. I think that what Link does is to share damage, debuffs, buffs or others but the calculación of those are individual, so that’s why some monsters got crítica and others dont. (Sorry the bad English)
So what do you think of the Rushdog new [STUN] attribute? Around 40% chance at max level. It has 6s stun. Seems too good to be true for PvP.
6s is too OP isn’t it? The duration itself is enough to kill almost any man. Whilst you can cast another Rushdog in 5s.
You need to actually hit the opponent first. And there are waaay more powerful and targetable disables ingame without any RNG gambling - Stone Curse, Sleep, Telekinesis, etc, etc. Being OP hell at the first glance, PvP is actually have weird kind of balance because there is no 1v1. If you are afraid of powerful CC, you can create a team to counter them effectively.
I think they should just rework everything from Hunters. Remove all their skills. Then give them a 1 point skill that lets them control their pet. Something similar to Dota2’s Lone Druid and his spirit bear. And then instead of giving the Hunter skills for the pet to follow, they should just give the Hunter skills that the pet themselves can use. Make it so that you can tab through both your own character and your ratbeast. This will increase the difficulty level of the game and the skill ceiling the Hunter can achieve. This will also make playing Hunter more dynamic and I think will be more enjoyable. Especially for people who like micromanaging. And it’s freakin unique. No other class can say they can control 2 characters at once.

It appears hunters were ninja-patched a while ago. There are no patch notes for this, but their skills are changed.
Praise now increases attack, accuracy and crit rate of companion instead of movement speed. I liked Sanic companion though
It was super useless but hella fun.
Pointing now reduces evasion and accuracy of targeted enemy and (wasn’t in description before but it’s like this from the start) it supposed to work like aggro steal, drawing enemy attention. Supposed anti-boss? Anyway, AI skills are still meh.
Wth I can’t even further think why they are doing this. I always supposed that movement speed and attack speed buff for companion would be the one buffing Hunter from other classes’ companions.
Now how are we supposed to hit a player in PvP with these slow-ass companions and brain dead of an AI. So…unthinkable.
Anyway, is it 100% confimed that there will be no 1v1 pvp? Just 5v5?
EDIT:
After all, the change of Praise skill is not that lame. I tried the PvP and companion can still give damage well if we can use the skills well, too. So, I’m changing all my opinion in regard to the Companion’s AI dumbness like I write here.
