The Gardener Build

I would like to introduce my Druid. http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/97rqohb2p4/ . I keep a log on the classes people want to start as, on the forums.
Hey Saviors! What class ye gonna start as, and what advanced class ye aiming for? And why?.
As I’ve noticed there is no one even considering it (Edit: I have now seen a couple threads pop up). I searched all different websites just to find them only metioned once. It was on reddit and the commentor basicly just said ‘Druid class is ■■■■’. But I think it could be viable. The build up to it seems a bit tricky though cause I had multiple ideas. I think this could be a good build though.
I just want to show the Druid class some love!
My original Idea involved Krivis. http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/tpu0oew0ts/ . But after some help from my guildmate Bob Norris, he convinced me to drop Krivis to get Diev which seems to sync more with the build.
After some forum discussion I’ve updated the build to version 2.

Thanks to everyone who’ve helped me with this build!

So whats your guys idea of the Druid class? Any other classes you think don’t seem as viable as others?

I’m not sure about Simony (Pardoner Skill) that can make a scroll out of your own skills. But if it can make all your skill to a scroll include horrible cooldown’s skill, I think Pardoner class at Rank 5 maybe better than Diev because this class have skill to avoid a horrible cooldown of Druid skill like Transform and Shape Shifting.

I think this is a pretty good solo/support hybrid Dievdirbys build. The Diev and Druid classes seem to compliment each other quite well with Carve doing more damage against plants and Druids being able to change enemies into plants.

talking about these things makes me so excited inside :joy:

Yep, Carve and Chortasmata are in sync but you can’t get the best of both worlds since Carve is a STR-based skill while you’ll most likely pump your points into INT with this build. :pensive:

As a full support oriented class I think it’s a bit of waste to spend that many points in Crave Owl and Crave (Lvl 5 crave should be enough to get materials and do a bit of damage I guess).

Apart from that it seems viable and about the long CDs for Druid we don’t really now the limitations of Shape Shifting neither the duration of Transform so it’s hard to tell.

Thats the problem with this build. I am never completely satisfied.

With the druid though I don’t think I’d make it a full support. A hybrid is more the way I would want it cause my with play style I like to support when be, but also like having some potential to solo. I’m just hoping the carve will allow me to do a decent sustained dmg while skills go on CD.

Druids can’t do anything if you don’t have plants nearby? :expressionless:
Whats the point using transform, shape shift and telepath in the battle?
Telepath can control bosses?
huh and these skills have huge cooldowns and sp cost

Well, you can basically control or become a fairly strong monster with their of the two abilities, of which changes your role into a physical dps (probably). Also, the cooldown is incredibly long because you’re expected to use it correctly and transform into a strong monster, then, like I said, change your role. Same with sp - you won’t be spamming the spell or anything. It’s a long term investment of your time.

I’m 99% sure Telepath won’t work on bosses.

If I were you, I’d build my skills like this: http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/px4qkl6a7c/
Safety Zone is a must if you don’t wanna die while carving . Deprotected Zone seems to reduce physical defense only (I might be wrong though), might be handy when fighting bosses but not really effective for grinding since the it reduces def over time.
Since you’ll mainly pump into INT then you don’t wanna put so many points in Carve, but use Carve Owl instead. I’ve seen some Dievdirbys gameplay and Owl is awesome in boss fights and party grinding, but you’ll have to lure mobs by yourself when soloing. Owl + Cure for main damage, Carve when those 2 are on CD.
And for Druid, it seems you won’t be useless without plants on map after all. I remember watching a vid where a Druid use Chortasmata to make mobs into plant type and then use Carnivore to make them damage each other (yup, I know it sounds pretty wild )

P/S: I found the vid demonstrating the use of Chortasmata and Carnivore when grinding

So less carve, more owl. Exnay deprotect for safety. And i didn’t realize carnivorous worked on plant monsters that way. Thanks for the info. I’m secretly hoping that the transform will work on some boss. Optimism!

I bet you can’t wait to carve those koks.

But jokes aside, I think Druid doesn’t seem interesting because he is not such a straightforward class.

I think Dievdirbys should be half-STR and half-INT because Carve it’s a physical skill and waste a lot of SP, so it’s better to have enough Strength to make damage and kill enemies before SP run out.

Well, I’d be getting Blessing for increased dmg and Carve Zemina for decreased sp consumption. This way I don’t have to split between str and int. Just cause I feel it would weaken my druid in some aspect. I’m not planning on carve to be as high of a skill anymore. I think I may just put 5 into it.

Ok, I updated the OP.
