The "Eu Server" Endless Loop

First things first: I live in the EU, no i really don’t care about the EU server at this point, yes i can understand people wanting the EU server.

What i want to do is jut calmly state my ideas about it hoping that the tread will not degenerate in a flame.

Let’s say what the players are thinking: “i’m not putting money into the game until i get an EU server

Let’s say what the devs are thinking: “we’re not giving an EU server until the players give us money for it

So basically all the “EU Server Stuff” is a gigantic, endless loop, were people quit the game because the EU server is not there and the EU server will never be a reality because people quite the game because the EU server is not there…

… damn that actually gave me an headache to think.

Here let me state one thing: in the grapchic that IMC showed everyone in order to justify the lack of an EU server it’s shown that 23% of the founders are from EU or from near EU.

It’s to be considered tho that a lot of people from those countries didn’t bother buying the founder pack because they had no news about a possible EU server so, we can probably state (and yeah, it’s a “statement” not a “certain thing” i know, don’t go bullsh***** me about this) that if the EU server was a certain thing when the founder packs were announced, given the polls and discussions i’ve seen on my country fansites were 40% of the member didn’t buy the founder because of no news about the server, andgive the fact that this kind of statystic probably apply to other nations in the EU, the number of founders in the EU would probably be the same size of NA and SA TOGHETER, probably at least 40%-45% of the total.

So was this a bad move from IMC? absolutly yes cause they probably lost about 40-45% of possible income.

Do we care about this now? No we absolutly should NOT care about this now since what’s done is done and the problem here is trying to “adjust” things in order that both the playerbase and the Dev team will gain an advantage.

So since we’re in an endless loop were players won’t spend money because of the server and the devs will not give the player their server because there are no money what can possiblt be done?

This is what i’d like IMC to do:

Instead of giving out percentages i’d like to see a post with an exact number of founders from the EU at this moment, like i don’t know… 300.000 instead of 23% or something like that.

Once this has been done state something like:

“If we manage to get, let’s say, 500.000 total founder from EU we promise we’re going to give everyone an EU server since that amount of players would be enough to actually get it and mantein it”

Isn’t it an easy solution that can possibly solve this problem?

Once a post like this has been done a lot of the players that didn’t buy the founder pack probably would buy it now, raising IMC income and, at the same time, breaking the negative endless loop that’s been generated about this EU server.

So this one is my suggesion @Staff_Julie @STAFF_Ethan @STAFF_John @STAFF_Shawn

I rreally, REALLY hope that people answering to this tread can do it proposing their own solution to the matter understanding that: “IMC should just give us the fck*** server” is NOT a solution to the problem and that “IMC is retarted” is NOT a solution to the problem.

My hopes are on everyone to keep this tread civil, thanks ^^

The problem is that those people “at bay” will not buy if they have no news about the server and if they don’t buy then there’ll be no server… that’s the “endless loop” we’re having here :stuck_out_tongue:

My suggestion is based on the fact that people are more willing to do something when they know exactly at what point they’ll be rewarded for it thus the “promise that you’ll do it at a given number of purchases”

You think so? i actually think it decreased and that many people asked for a refound of the founder… oh well i guess i’ll just hope you’re right about it xD

I live in the EU (sweden to be exact) and i just notice, lets say you get use to 140-200 ping, you get to meet very friendly people, a guild you get close to and so on. And all of sudden they open this EU server and itd be mixed with different languages…

Im not entirely sure i wanna trade away all those friends/guilds just to lower my ping by 60-100 and land on this new server with a general chat i won’t understand, or am i exageratting here?
