I wonder, how many times did you brag about being stupid enough to pay 150$ for a few days early access to a shitty game.

And there are 3 main problems:

  1. Lies
  2. Price
  3. Server population

“Soon” is extremely subjective. There is no agreed upon definition of soon. “I’ll see you soon” can mean “I’ll see you in a few minutes” or, if it’s someone from out of state, “I’ll see you again in a few months”.

The same holds true for games. “Soon” can mean a few days, but it can also mean a few months. It can even mean years in Blizzard time.

This is a silly thing to hang your hat on to prove they “lied”.

Actually, it is. A Closed Beta is one that only a few select people have access to. They get to pick who has access, and they limit to only a set amount of people (that they picked).

There are no restrictions here, outside of country locking. EVERYONE is free to buy the game and play it. You’d have a point if they said “Well be emailing select people to offer them a chance to buy the game”. But that’s not what they said.

Again, a silly thing to hang your hat on.
