The Bonfire placing system sucks

Everytime I try to place a bonfire on the floor to restore faster my character health and skill power, I have problems because the number keys does nothing else than make my char look to directions, clicking the numbers does nothing, and neither using the skill again places the damn bonfire on the floor.

Also, there is a small percent of chance of the skill working by clicking or pressing the numbers, meaning that have to play the retry minigame, where you have to stand up, sitdown and try using the skill again.

Please, change the system, like make it place the bonfire to the direction the player is looking instead?

The actual system really sucks.

I have the same problem, can’t light my own bonfire that’s why I always leech on other’s :frowning:

It’s just an issue with the lag or with your last bonfire still burning somewhere.

The real issue is that If you play with gamepad you sill need buttons of the keyboard to actually place the bonfire. You can sit down, use the bonfire skill but when selecting the position you need number-buttons of keyboard.

Maybe the bonfire should spawn in front of your character. This way, people would turn their front to the desired direction first, then use the skill.

I’ve seen this. The numpad numbers don’t seem to work with this. The regular numbers do work. (The ones in a single row). However those aren’t very intuitive compared to their numpad counter parts.

This might be a good use of the unused right joystick most gamepads have.

Isn’t this mechanic also used by centurions? It could be good for them too. (shrugs)

Thanks for the heads up on the regular number keys working - was bugging the hell out of me!

Last time I tested, the numbers above the letters keys did not work, look’s like as it is really random that it works or not.
