The Big Red Reset Button. Would you push it?

Push thee button and it will wipe the whole sever and shut down all ToS sever for a whole year, so redevelopment and rework on the whole game functions could be done.

development which includes:

Advance Engine that utilize your GPU
Render and performance that are easily optimizable
Rework in skills animations, balance, and affect.
Advance Netcode, Network, and game codding.
etc. etc.

Basically it’s the just same game but runs on a whole different engine and network that will give the game a whole new visual experience and performance.

Remember, you have to wait one whole year and start over again.
would you push it???!! (at this stage I would)

I’d push it but can’t promise I’d still be interested in the game a year later. My ADHD will pull me to new endeavors.

For just performance and skill balancing, no. I think the game’s biggest problems are deeper than that.

381 hours of playtime is not something I want to lose. That being said, I could totally keep playing after a server wipe. But, there won’t be a server wipe.

I honestly don’t see a problem with the actual engine, it is just being bad utilized, i visited the Path Engine website and they have some nice titles there that work well.

Just so you know, it is the same engine being used on BnS.

Again, the engine is being used wrongly, the game actual content have a few things that the engine is capable of, but IMC staff is missing too much with useless stuff atm.

I’d whack it with a hammer with 1 hand and a middle finger on the other.

im with that guy. i had 600 hours invested in cbt. knowing a wipe was coming… knowing that there were kids in korea already min/maxing builds that i was just trying out for funsies. 600 hours invested in 3 months is nothing… ive quit thisg ame for 2 months and i still have more than 600 hours invested since launch.

I miiiiiight come back? It would really depend on whether or not I had gotten deep into another MMO and was really enjoying it. When I find an MMO I like I usually stick with it for a few years.

Do I think the game needs it? Maybe, but I’m pretty sure they’d lose a lot of customers, I already waited around four years myself. This kind of game doesn’t exactly have the fame or popularity of something like the Final Fantasy franchise behind it. Mostly Ragnarok fans who, can still go back to RO. Then again the RO fandom is not to be underestimated…

Only if other company takes it, IMC dont care about players

If there was a wipe I’d probably never come back again. Tree of Savior just isn’t designed to be played twice.

And I actually already like the game as it is now.

No.

I would just move on, and would never look back.

The games good, it can be better, but if it’s going to take another year, I don’t care to wait that long.

I’d push it, but not for those reasons, the game actually runs realtivly smoothly on my mashine and I don’t care as much about class balance than everyone else.

I’d want:

  • a better spawn system with higher spawn rate
  • a less linear and more fun questing experience
  • more dungeon variety and interesting dungeons
  • more item variety (esp. in the low levels)
  • working anti-bot software / algorithms
  • less restrictions for the real players
