The 3 war limit killed World GvG

Along with neutrality, they also implemented a maximum of 3 wars limitation for guilds. If you have more than 3 wars, you cannot wardec more guilds.

The chance of encountering someone from an enemy guild in the field is small. Really small. Considering the size of the game and the number of channels, you only get a handful of encounters during the war. To compensate this, PvP guilds would war many guilds. Way more than 3. At some point, we had over 10 ongoing wars at once.

With Neutrality, there’s a lot less people to fight now. However, that isn’t the problem killing the interest in World PvP right now. The 3 war limit is the problem.

Why you ask? Allow me to explain, to those that aren’t aware of how the system works.

Once you wardec a guild, for a period of 7 days, you can kill those people anywhere that isn’t a town. After the war is over, a 7 days cooldown period begins in which you’re not allowed to wardec the same guild again. And here’s the catch: The cooldown period STILL COUNTS AGAINSTS THE 3 WAR LIMIT.

When the neutrality/war limt patch hit, we had about 10 wars and 8 cooldowns. We were unable to wardec any guilds, and for the first week, we fought the guilds we were still at war with normally.

After a week, all those wars ended, and we had a bunch of cooldowns that were preventing us from beginning new wars. Naturally, the other PvP guilds were being plagued by the same issue, so they too couldn’t do anything. As players might’ve noticed, almost no wardec notifications took place over the last 2 weeks because of this.

Finally, our cooldowns are over. We can wardec guilds again, but it’s still not the same. If we were to begin 3 wars now, then next week we’d be grounded from ANY AND ALL PvP FOR SEVEN DAY AGAIN.

Now let me ask: What’s the purpose of this? Neutrality makes sense, but for what purpose would they limit how much PvP the PvP guilds are allowed to have? Why are they purposely removing content from the game, when it already has so little to offer at this point?

We want the GvG mode and the Arena, but we ALSO want World PvP. The Arena and GvG modes are flawed and have specific set times, and we want to be able to fight each other anytime we want. We also don’t give a damn about any subjective opinions like “PvP in MMOs are always bad”, “Why would you want to PvP in this mess of a balance game?” or “There’s no benefits in wars right now, so there shouldn’t be any wars at all”. We want to be able to fight, we had that feature, and it was taken away from us for no reason.

In order to correct this current system, what we ask for is:

-Make Neutral Guild’s tower different from non-Neutral towers. The only way to find out if a guild is neutral or not is to attempt to wardec them, and that might lead to accidental wardecs;

-Allow guilds to opt into being at permanent war at each other. Both must consent obviously. If one then chooses to end the war, the war ends immediately(if more than 7 days have elapsed), and the cooldown starts;

-Remove the war limit altogether. It’s restricting player-driven content with no good purpose;

There’s a lot to be improved about the system, but this is the absolute minimum we ask for. The only thing we need is for the game to allow PvP guilds to fight other PvP guilds without any restrictions. The Arena and GvG Mode are not replacements for good old Field PK.

As a side note, Futureproof is currently seeking out PvP Guilds in Klaipeda that are interested in organizing a single large GvG League. Our goal is to create an environment where PvP guilds will always have fit opponents to fight at all times. Once I’ve spoken to enough guilds, I’ll make a large single post on forums about this arrangement.

Never really understood the point of the 3 war limit. If Neutrality lets guilds that don’t want to be a part of guild war opt out, why was there a limit added as well? I don’t understand artificially limiting an activity players have purposefully chosen to do. A lot of people who were focused on GVG quit after the 3 war limit was added because being able to be at ar with a grand total of 100 people (~33 per guild, due to size limits) on an MMO with CHANNELS basically means you’ll never see someone in a warred guild.

Neutrality is fine and whatever but the 3 war limit really needs to go.
