Thaumaturge's Swell Body does not give double EXP

Bug Description :
IMC staff, please pay attention to this matter. This Thaumaturge’s Swell Body does not work properly!
Thaumaturge’s Swell Body does not give double EXP (100% more), only about 30% more

Steps to reproduce the issue :

  1. Uses Swell Body
  2. Kill the mobs

As you can see in the first picture, which the mob was NOT swelled body, the EXP viewer add-ons shows that each Tripede give 674 Base EXP. While the token is actived (+30% EXP received), which mean base EXP from Tripede is 674/1.3 = 518.

In the second picture, the base EXP received from SWELLED Tripede is 859. It is only as 40% more from 518, and 22% more from 674.

IMC staff, please pay attention to this matter. This Thaumaturge’s Swell Body does not work properly!

Can u test it with other mobs ?

Yes, I have tested it with many kind of mobs. They shown the same result. I will post more pictures for evidence.

In your 2nd screenshot, notice how the mob is not debuffed with swell body. The bug here is that mobs sometimes bug out their size when getting debuffed by the swell skills and do not return to their normal size. Try killing a mob while the debuff is still on and you will see your double exp.

Thank you for your reply. I did try killing mobs while the debuff is still on, but the result is the same. I have tried this so many times. I will post more pictures to make it clear.

I take back what I said. I assumed this was something you just overlooked. I hopped onto my Thauma and confirmed that it does not give double exp.

The exp gain is a difference of 366.

So it appears that swell body is an increase of 100% base exp that is additive with the current exp rates as well as team bonus.

Swell Body = 100%

Exp without Swell Body
1718/366 = 4.69

Exp with Swell Body
2084/366 = 5.69 after flooring

Subtract bonuses from token + team (36%) and we get a modified exp base of 4.33x. All exp modifiers seem to be additive.

Whether this is intended or not, only IMC knows.

Edit: Doesn’t this also mean the boost from Token + exp tome is negligible. If my assumptions are correct, a tome would boost the multiplier to 4.99 normally, which would mean the exp you gain is 1718 > 1826, an increase of 6%.

Tested and confirmed on this end too. In addition to this, Shrink Body has a bug where it heals the target to maximum health.

I understand swell body heals the target for 50% but unsure if shrink body heal is intended and unsure why.

The Thaumatourge Class’s iconic swell body and shrink body both don’t work as intended, hopefully some fixes come soon its no wonder the class is underplayed.

is this right what ‘Swell Body: Additional Damage’ applied before main effect ‘Doubles EXP gained and loot dropped’ and we didnt get 2xExp&Loot if mob dies from attribute ‘Additional Damage’

Much like doppel Double Pay Earn, the bonus exp is applied to the base experience value, not to the final one.

It works like this:

Final Exp = Base Exp + (Base Exp x DPE or Swell) + (Base Exp x Token) + (Base Exp x TeamLevel) + (Base Exp x Party Bonus) + (Base Exp x Tome)

As someone already said, the modifiers stacks additively, not multiplicatively

And i’m fine with this, since they would be extremely overpower if they multiplied the final exp. Bosses would yeld a insane exp aumont.

main problem is… what we get NOTHING from benefits effects if target died from skill attribute dmg…
