Thanks me later IMC, here is how you can remove bots from this game

Remove the silver gain from the mobs killed after the player reach the amount necessary to earn a exp card at Wings of Vibora NPC.

It also will solve the AFK dinaa bee/ demon prison 2 problem.

But… then… how will the regular players make their income?

Bots don’t care. Bots will still farm normal/rare items to sell in the market.

This will only hurt real players farming silvers.

tbh, i think Dina bee farm generate too much silver per hour so that Macro Sorc/Necro took the advantage and farm silver there.

Everyone will still be abe to loot the mobs drops.

How about remove the silver drop and add monster hunting quests that reward silver ?

As for items bot , add captcha when when player loot a item . If wrong captcha and item get delete .

You are wrong, since you can only trade 30 times every mounth. ( with token )

You can sell as many items you want in the market though. There’s no trade limitation for that.

I agree with you, but it will slow down their silver income, since they will have to wait two days to earn some money.

Real players are not going to suffer, since nobody ( yes nobody ) kill more mobs than the necessary to earn the exp card.

It’s always amusing to me how everyone thinks that the bot problem can be solved with a simple magical solution like, “OMG DUH!!!” this simple easy solution that every MMO company ever has somehow failed to discover.

These threads have become entertainment fuel for me. Please, continue.

i like this idea

Well that’s what IMC thought when they implemented the 2 day silver retrieve delay in the first place.

But that’s not what happens in practice…

The 2 days delay is just a matter of fetching your profit from two days ago instead of getting the profit of today.

Just put up an AFK penalty like Warframe did. The mechanic is simple, if you stand in one place for more than 1 hour, you automatically disconnected, problem solved.

this may slow them down a bit but they can still sell items to npc for silver , our income come mostly from mob grind , the truth is that a lot of people farmmobs for silver and rare items in some map like demon prison or dina bee farm , even while questing , so if imc want to use this method , they will have to increase items 's silver selling price to npc and drop rates , nothing will change… . i think i like the idea that they reduces or removes silver gain from mobs but give them to quest , daily quest , dungeons and missions to make up for the grind .

that good for afk farmer but not for bots as they will be running around .instead , i think they should add a simple Question - answer pop up every 1 ~ 2 hours , if you dont answer within a short time , you will be disconnected .

I did come up with that idea, but it just simply bad when you are on a dungeon and it pop-up in the middle of the battle XD

but i think it a nice idea for field grinding o-o , dungeonss and missions dont need it since bots cant farm in there , and you will be thrown out after 1 hour in dungeons anyway :stuck_out_tongue:
edited : or add a timer so that players can prepare

Captchas don’t stop bots, this has been suggested thousands of times already.

Captchas were good maybe 10 years ago but nowadays with the advent of convolutional neural networks in image recognition any captcha can be easily broken by a bot with at least 90% accuracy.

Question answering pretty much falls into same issue considering nowadays linguistics machine learning applications.

There is no way to remove bots in Tree of Savior or any other MMORPG at the moment. Why ? because there is no restriction on creating an account. You guys might think removing silver drop from mobs might work but Bots dont really care there are many other ways to farm Silver. Right now I am level 80 and to be honest the silver that drops from mobs is less than the silver that I sell my loot , rare or mats. Look around , Bots are every where WoW , Gw2 , Aion , SWTOR etc . The only thing IMC could do is paying attention to the Report list to reduce the number of Bots. In the future , we may have some MMO that require Oculus Rift to play then there would be no Bots.

Or they actually just bypass these anti-bot features because in the first place, “real” hackers made the bot programs. In Aura Kingdom, the bots doesn’t answer captchas, they simply bypass it.
