Testing out MAX Shield Lob and Swash Buckling

Shield Lob at MAX level

  1. The damage is not as good.
  2. Splash is very small. (MAX Level 3 attribute)
  3. Chance to lose your shield.
  4. Long minute cooldown.

Is this skill worth adding points into? No, there are better skills like Umbo blow and rim blow with their 250% attributes.

I can say that this is one of the worst skills of all time.

Yup saw that video a few hours ago and I cried at that damage… I mean they went Full CON but the 250% attribute from Peltasta’s other skills just wrecks the damage of Shield Lob… pretty bad for a C2 skill IMO.

Yeah I am full con in this video.

Our best skill is umbo blow. And here’s why:

  1. 250% damage + 20% per attribute level w/ high guard
  2. Toggle knockback (attribute)
  3. 12 second cooldown
  4. Additional damage when used after block. And we know how much peltastas are able to block.

I have more footage of shield lob, but it’s all the same. The cooldown was very long in-between. And even when I charged the bar until max, it didn’t change anything.

The range on Swash Buckling still seems good. Any idea what the max ammount of mobs you can aggro at once at max is? You seemed to have grabbed a lot.

Its better max umbo blow
or let umbo blow and rim blow at same kill lvl?
What about this peltasta taunt… why not let this at lvl1 and invest in other things like guard

Umbo Blow seems better to max than Rim Blow because it has better attributes than Rim Blow. If you however see that Rim Blow has better attributes or attributes that you like more than Umbo Blow, take it instead.

Swash Buckling is better a higher levels because it increases the amount of mobs you can taunt (I think range as well but I’m not too sure about this).

Guard is an attribute that you buy so… no real need to invest skill points into this unless you’re talking about Guardian then it’s your call to max that or not.

Did they change the dmg modifier from STR to CON?

And is that only for Shield Lob, or also for Umbo Blow and Rim Blow?

Eh the animation looks horrible! They should make the shield rotating when he throw it away.

All skills dmg scales with str right?? thats why damage was low, you are full con

If u use Shield Lob for frozen monster its deal much more damage…

It still isn’t worth it; there are other issues besides damage. Umbo blow/rim blow still does more damage w/ full con, has two activation, and has way less cooldown.
