I want do the seguent route: SwordmanC1— Highlander C1-C2-C3 - Hoplite C1-C2- Dragoon
I am arrived to the hoplite and
I realized that all the Hoplite’s spell cannot be used with 2H sword, and i cant used 2H spears untill i reach the dragoon class… So, have i do a terrible mistake? Is possible “reset” the class? Or should i to continue?
EDIT: i cant use only Finestra.Well, i think that is not so terrible as i thought before xD
You can use 1h spear and shield for hoplite skills and assign a 2h sword to quick swap for the highlander abilities. That way you can alternate between them quickly.
I didnt play Highlanders but according to the skill descriptions they should be useable with 1hand spear and shield so finestra will do its job fine.
I tried. If i use Finestra with 1h spear and swap weapon, the buff turn-off
instantly
You can just stick with spear + shield and use all highlander skills except cross guard (which isn’t necessary since you can guard with shield as well)
I would say highlander --> hoplite is one of the worse paths to choose from, but it’s still playable.
I’m following this build right now and having a lot of fun with it. In the highlander branch, the only 2 handed sword mandatory skill is Cross Guard. But the Hoplite adition to the build was very welcome and the only problem is that I can’t use 2 handed spears yet. Using weapon swap at the right moments and choosing the right skills for each type of monster is really making me entertained while leveling. Oh, and the combo Spear Lunge+Skull Swing+Finestra+Stabbing while the boss is bleeding followed to 3 Skyliners can deliver lots of hurt. If you have read Autentist’s guide, of course you have found out the limitations of the build (specially the lack of AoE) but I still find it fun and can’t wait to get to dragoon. 
Edit: My character is level 183 right now.
I am 129 right now, and just reached lv 3 hoplite. Using Stab with 2H sword does a lot of damage ( expecially after Skull Swig) and the spell itself is so funny XD. This build path gives a lot of multi-hit spells ( Stab, moulinet, pierce etc…), and when i reach the Dragoon ( and the usage of 2H spears) i’ll can use finestra on all of those spells
