Requires planning around one class?
Which means it’s not a very good idea to tie it to one class.
it very good plan for IMC weeding out those unwilling to commit to their guild
like you perhaps

Hmm, okay then.
I was planning to make a swordman if i needed to.
I agree with @dmhamilt in the templar alternatives thing.
Popular demand will likely compel imc to add Templar alternatives for the remaining class lines. They could share some guild management skills and differ in others, like a wizard guildmaster class could have sp related buffs, cleric hp related, swordman atk dmg, and archer crit rate. Or something that adds variety to each guild playstyle, like maybe some guildmaster classes are more PVP focused and others more PVE, I don’t know…
If you truly want to lead a guild, you’ll suck it up and level a templar. You’re not just doing it for you, you’re doing it for your members. That 10m silver should be pooled by multiple members. Or just have somebody else you trust level a templar and you can be a co-leader.
I’m not normally the elitist type, but they are forcing you to commit to work and that’s a good thing for a guild. Leading a guild is not for the weak.
Don’t forget there will be a Rank 9 and possibly more…and since each rank seems even stronger you could be a pretty boss boss all for giving up a single rank. Or if you really want that fencer/doppl rank 2 get it in rank 9. Still tons of choices for the guilds most valuable member.
Also, I think this may be why barb is so strong even tho it’s pretty low in the ranks.
I’m not shure if it’s a good idea to add different Templar skills for every class.
I might should have explained in the main post that I, personally, don’t care what class I need to lvl. as to become Templar(on ICBT I tried all of the classes), I started the topic because I didn’t understand why it’s tied to one class. Now I understand, I even wrote [over] to let people know that the topic is now irrelevant.
Templar’s probably the guilds “creator” rather than leader. So if a group of 5-10 people wants to form a guild they need to level a templar together.
You don’t constantly need to play with templar, just declare war, start event etc. then switch to your main.
i thought you only needed too be on your templar to use the skills, everything else worked for your alts too. i don’t really understand why you would ever want to lead your guild not on your templar; the whole game is about rp and is dragoon really so strong you would mind the loss of one rank min.
You can contact a mod to lock the thread if you want, otherwise people will continue to add to the thread.
I don’t think it should be Swordsman only, and they should have guilds from the beginning. If this game is about communities, they should have a guild from the start.
But I feel they want people to create more than 3 characters as a strategy for getting revenue. However, people can simply create a new accounts for classes they want to get. Perhaps they have ID check, but this strategy won’t work for International servers.
That skill. is, currently, a joke. It’s only 15 attack by level 5.
According to the last patch notes that mentioned it it was suposedly buffed, no idea of the changes though.
If I read that right, the ability will be increased by 15 levels. That’s not a joke…
