Team Level EXP bonus and overal leveling thoughts

Greetings, saviors.
Being a veteran korean mmorpg player (15 years wasted on in Ragnarok, gulp) just want to share my opinion on some issues I see it ToS.

Just like in many mmorpgs, character (even max lv) without items should mean nothing. And leveling proccess should be as fast as possible and as fun as possible. 1-200 in ToS is very fast and pretty fun. After that it just becomes tedious - grinding mobs and popping cards from very boring quests. I don’t mind grinding - grinding should be essential in such games. But not for EXP - for items. Players should grind to get better and better items - and ToS have a very wide range of opportunities for that. In fact, you can improove your kit almost forever. Then make a new character and grind for eternity to gear up him. And so on, and so on.
Ideal example is Diablo3 (not a MMORPG though) - fast leveling - forever grinding.

How can you improove leveling it ToS and stimulate ppl to make more new chars - play more to gear them up? Well, the most unharmful way, to my opinion, is to boost Team Level EXP Bonus. Like 10 times.
500% exp bonus for 50 LV seems pretty legit. Such system works extremely well with those players who’ve been playing for a long time. Those players who want to try out some new builds and classes, but are too bored to go the full circle of leveling at almost the same speed as they did before.

There are plenty of ways to further make leveling faster and more interesting, but I guess upgrading Team Level is just the most easy to implement and won’t cause any troubles to anyone. In ideal, it would be cool to see new dungeons without any drop but with awesome exp and tons of mobs. Dungeons solely for leveling. It’s sad that current dungeon system doesnt encourage players to go full runs at all - everyone rushing.

I just hate grinding to level up but love grinding for items and good equipment :sob:

I don’t mind grinding - grinding should be essential in such games. But not for EXP - for items

if they introduce a weapon which grow stronger the more you kill monster with it, everybody will love grinding. the killed monsters must be minimum at 5 level below character level to avoid exploiting low lv map.

those imba rental equipment is a necessary evil sire, for greater good. if everyone is f2p, imc will shutdown this game soon.

When making Alts, most of your exp comes from cards and not from mobs, so +30% exp from the token means nothing. A x10 buff to team level would be nice though. I never batted an eye for deleting Alts to make others because the exp buff right now is just too lame

When making alts now, you have access to 8x tomes and instance clear scrolls(and maybe instance reset vouchers remaining from previous events).
So, 1-50 is tenet grind which takes like 30 minutes maximum, then 3 scrolls to 78lvl in 50 dungeon, then once more to lvl 85, then a few cards(from exploration) and you are lvl 90 then 3 more scrolls to 104, 3 sialuai, few quests in arc mage tower and 115 dungeon 6 times, so you are 130lvl, then 6 times and you are 145, this one you can do until lvl 172, a few quests here so at like 183lvl you can go already party for Truffel(you get 50% exp but still it is ok).
So yeah, I would like a bigger team lvl bonus maybe for chars below rank7.

I think the biggest problem with grinding in field high level maps is the drop is a joke. Remember in pre-re RO you also have to grind to reach out lvl 99, but if you go to Thor for example, you have the chance of getting an orleans, meteor plate, imp card, etc; you go to morroc’s, you can got the ring; you go to odin, you can got angel wings and the valky shield.

Here you go to alemeth and you can get…nothing, except for an occasional gold mob, there is no incentive except for the exp. Would be nice if the truffles would drop a gold bar, or maybe the materials that drop there could be sell to npc for high price. The same goes for all field maps when the drop there means nothing. In general (except for a few exceptions) the drop outside dungeons is thrash.

I really believe that exp and rare items should be separated. One should have ultra fast leveling places with no drop at all and rare items places with no exp at all. That is fair.

Well, i think we have different points of view. My only other mmorpg was RO and the drop and map system (without instaced maps, limit entries and such things) was pretty amazing to me and surprise me you as RO veteran dont think like that

I never thought RO leveling and grinding system was perfect. But even there were maps solely for fast leveling with very average or even bad drop - Lab3 for expample. Or Thanatos tower.

One should always take the best parts and fix the flaws. That way one can make a decent product.

Yes, but not all maps, and, men if you complete Thanatos tower you can get some cool items. I dont want to disscuss, beacause this only relies on prefernces.

Sure. But when you ask everything alltogether you end up recieving nothing :slight_smile:

I’m quite familiar with GM’s logic - one have to be humble when asking smth from them :smiley:

So now we have double EXP in dungeons and missions. Huge step to the right direction!
Now boost Team Level EXP bonus PULEEEASE.

Never had any problems in 50-190 dungeons que.
You just shout: THREE RUNS WITH CLEAR VOUCHERS and the que is full of leechers :smiley:
And post 190 you just run 12 times in missions with one 8x tome and swim in EXP.
