Taunt with NO Heal (Instanced DG)

Isn’t it like… suicide? Especially those with str dex build, no con. HP pots have cd and I’m most likely drained again before I can reuse it. Even if it has 0 cd, then silver will be the problem.
Yet those ranged KS machine still force you to SB and the ranged type enemies slaughter you from afar, not moving an inch into your party AOE skill.
I really dont mind SB if it keeps EVERYONE safe, but then again what about the taunts safety? What should be done

they should give life leech to swordsman is what they should do.

With proper dex you can dodge all physical attack, only prob is magic damage, ask them to focus the magic damage, that’s what I do.

Tell your trigger happy DPS to stay behind while you taunt and pull the pack of mobs back to them. Archer type mobs can be pulled, but you need to move out of their line of sight before they’ll stop shooting and give chase.

You should also max out your [Guard: Defense] and [Shield Mastery: Block] Pelt attributes. These will help you block physical attacks better, allowing you to save your HP potions for magical damage.

Are you guarding with your shield? Nothing should get through your shield except magic damage so just remember which sections have magic type mobs so you can hold on the Swash Buckling for a bit. Also like Rucession said, max out the 2 attributes plus Guardian Evasion and don’t forget to use Guardian before Swash Buckling. Remember that Gung Ho cancels Guardian so get rid of that habit (if it is one for you). And using up to date gear helps a lot, not Cafrisun.

I maxed all pelt attribute, but the shield durability get from 100% - 0 quite fast
when it gets 0 near the end of the dg, it cant be used to guard. I never used gung ho anymore since i take pelt. I also use the best leather armor i can get from quests and drops.

Plate should give you more eHP overall imo.
Other than that: If your DPS get ahead of themselves just stay back and let them die. Quite common tactic for all tanks and heals.

You don’t spray water on pets for nothing.
