Taoist Supp build

Yo,

I would like some opinions on a Support Miko build that ends with Taoist. So far my build is very much Cleric 2, Priest 3, Miko, [something], Taoist 2. 50 Con rest Spr

My problem is to find a class advancement to fill Rank 7 so I can access Taoist. My first two choices were either Oracle 1 or Kabbalist 1. My reasoning for Oracle was for the item farming utility, but it seems kinda “meh” to be honest; and as for Kabbalist, mostly the Ein Sof skill (and having a skill called “Revenge Sevenfold” makes you sound kinda epic lol).

So it got me thinking, although those sound like okay reasons (for me anyway) they aren’t much of reasons at all, thus I was wondering what would be a good filler advancement to fill up Rank 7. And I do know that without Clap max Dievdirbys is not as good, but I find Hamaya is a pretty good skill to level/farm with, and Kaguya Dance is very much a must. I could lower Sweep and get Clap 3 I suppose, but I am not very sure.

Why whould you pick tao 2 in a full suport build?? All you need in tao is dark sight for ET hahahaha

I was looking for a Support build to be honest, then I found one that had Taoist in it, I really like the whole “Taoist” thing, but I guess it was an older build since it only went as far as Rank 8, so for rank 9 I just added Taoist 2 lol

If I remember correctly, the build I took inspiration for, called for Cleric 2, Krivis 3, Priest 1, Miko, Taoist. or something, but Krivis didn’t speak to me, so I changed it lol

You could pick Cleric 3 (the one that makes more sense) or chaplain/ Kabba2/ oracle2

Edit1: I Have a Cleric 2, Priest 3, Miko 1, Kabbalist 1, dievdirb 1 and Tao 1 (it’s a rainbow)

For priest I whould recomend you to pick monstrance to buff the dps in your party (at least 1)

I see, might not be able to get Monstrance (unless I can somehow reset my build) since I am already Miko.

I am fine with Tao 1, since I only added Tao 2 because I didn’t know what else to add. So for me it would be either Oracle 2 or Kabbalist 2, unless Clap 3 is sufficient for a Dievdibys, then I could get that since the cooldown reduction seems awesome.

Taoist will not be needed as the afk floors in 24f, 29f etc are changed to killing floors.

Only reason for going taoist 2 in my opinion is for longer storm call duration which will increase party burst damage.
Storm call attribute+kagura dance for a lot of melee classes is quite strong.
Not to mention ele’s electrocute, lightning hands and krivis zealots spamming zaibas will love you.

If i were to go taoist support i might take c2 priest 3 chap miko tao 2 full spr with dex and spr gear. I tried krivis 3 taoist and i did not like it at all.

For your priest. Put 1 point in monstrance for dex bonus im sure AAs wouldnt mind more dex.

hummm, I see. Why Chaplain? If I may ask.

As for Monstrance, the only way I can do that is if I reset my character [ lv 196/ 8 Miko] or Start over :frowning:

I think chaplain helps AAs with last rights so another buff to help them.

Monstrance is nice but i think you can wait for a
possible new event that gives skill reset.

Dasdasdas’ suggestion is also pretty good.

Edit: im pretty sure aspergillium can be shared via spiritual chain. Im pretty sure most chrono builds after wizard rework will contain at least linker 2.

Taoist 1-2 + Kagura works well to increase your party’s damages. But Taoist 2 doesn’t bring much at all except a longer Storm Calling. It has synergy with Krivis, but without Krivis 3 going Taoist 2 is pretty meh, you won’t be focusing on/using most of your Taoist skills. The best ones are at circle 1.
If you want Taoist 3 eventually though, you can go Taoist 2 no problem. That’s what I did~

You can go Chaplain for the good auto-attacks so you don’t suffer as much leveling/soloing, you can also take Plague Doctor 2-Taoist, for the extra support and aoe damages, you could also go Bokor zombies summoner since you’re full SPR.
Oracle doesn’t bring much at all.
Kabbalist also won’t bring much to you or your party if mixed with Taoist.
Chaplain, Diev 1, Cleric 3, PD1/2 should be good for you with Taoist.

I agree with this one.

Diev3 provides cd reduction, SP boost, silence tree and invuln statue.

Priest2 already includes all the best support skills of a Priest (Mass Heal, Monstrance, Resurrection, Revive)

Miko helps you utilize owl statues better plus Kagura is a huge boon towards your melee party members.

Taoist for Dark Sight and Storm Calling.
