So I wanted to put up a constructive think tank style thread for Taoist because most of the stuff I’ve seen has been criticism for the infrastructure that the devs have created for the class. IE Making the paper expensive and very heavy so that you are limited to some degree in comparison to the effects you are getting. But nothing with any new ideas.
So looking at the skills a lot of them actually scale really really well with skill level.
Dark sights duration lasts in minuets with skill level,witch is amazing seeing as lvl 5 is really overkill as it is.
Tri Disaster charm has % resistance that goes with skill level so at lvl 5 its 50% with potential to be 150%
Energy wave has hit count scaling with skill level.
And storm callings talisman duration and storm duration scale off of skill level.
So Tao is obviously a investment class, and with the seemingly hard stance on how the talismans weigh and cost not being something that they want to change id like to discus any ideas or feedback and start a discussion. Since TOS has “quite a few things that have to be taken into consideration that may not be obvious from the end user’s perspective”
So lets discuss!! Things im looking for are new attributes for exsisting skills or maybe some reworks on how the skill durations or stuff work. Also for the most part im excluding any involvement with Krivis in this. Because people who have not taken krivis are hurting the most from this right now, and really while the synergy between zaibas and storm calling is a hallmark of most builds it is not anything that has to do with the base of Taoist itself. Also no complaining about paper weight and cost, we are assuming these wont change and it only leads to a bunch of complaining with no real answers so lets not go there and assume things are going to be the same.
