Taoist/Paladin Builds?

With Paladin’s Resist Elements and Taoist’s elemental resist charm skill, this can allow people to have CRAZY amounts of elemental resistance, making them more tanky.

I’m thinking something along the lines of this:

Cleric > Krivis3 > Paladin3 > Taoist Priest

Skill Allocation:

Cleric - Heal 5, Cure 5, Safety Zone 5
Krivis 3 - Aukuras 15, Zaibas 15, Daino 5, Melstis 5, Zalicai 5
Paladin 3 - Restoration 15, Resist Elements 15, Barrier 5, Turn Undead 8, Smite 1, Conviction 1
Taoist Priest - ?

Or, should I take Cleric2 and lower Krivis3 to Krivis2? But then, Zaibas would not be as powerful as it is able to with Storm Calling.

Another possibility is

Cleric > Krivis2 > Paladin3 > Miko > Taoist Priest

But, there is no Cleric2, no Krivis3, and no one really even knows how well Miko preforms. But, Miko seems to fit the theme of Taoist Priest.

what stats are you doing? int?

im making a
cleric>krivis2>paladin3>miko>?(dpepending on miko dps and heal)

and im at apaldin c3

ya int is the best since it scales 2x with zaibas heal and cure

Just remember:

Resist elements decrease elemental dmg and nullifies with some chance. Decrease for now is a flat number, but they were supposed to change the flat number in the first big patch from ktos to %. Didn’t happen though. Gotta send some support tickets to remind them.

Taoist resist charm increases your elemental resist up to 10% per skill level, so you have to get some resist in the first place, which you don’t get from resist elements. It is not that common to see ppl with high elemental resist in their gear, so increasing 10 elemental resist to 15 will still be nothing.

Oh and just to let you know, Conviction + Smite combo can hit for around 20k~30k even without STR in devil and mutant mobs per atk (it is a 2 uses skill with 9s cd). It’s nice to max it in any dps build indeed.

The % reduction is already implemented :kissing_smiling_eyes:

Then they should update the skill description at least…

So only the description is wrong? Well my ticket was not in vain at least XD hope they correct the description. Thx for sharing!

cleric 2 krivis 2 paladin 3 taois 1

cure and zaibas scale twice with int paladin conviction elemental d buff on enemie = more zaibas damage + stormcaling
also better heals

or cleric 1 kirvis 2 pala 3 pd taoist

no cure but pd for status mitigation and spreading the conviction d buff

I really like the sound of this, with the conviction debuff.

Has anyone actually got to taois with paladin 3 to give any feedback on it?

Cause the cookie cutter seems to be
Cleric2>Krivis3>Druid2>Taois or
Cleric2>Krivis3>MIko>Filler>Taois

Would love to know if Cleric1>Krivis3>Pala3>Taois is viable thats all, doesn’t have to be the best.

Haven’t tested that build, but the lack of Cleric2 really hurts in parties unless you have Priest3. @chueytoo

Im a paladin/taoist without the krivis.

If you’re thinking of combining resist elements + triple disaster, you’d get around 220 fire, ice and lightning resist. Unfortunately, triple disaster is a ground based spell and can be nulled by those erase magic ground skill from certain bosses. Not to mention, bosses that move a lot. Also, triple disaster last 5mins, but resist elements last more or less 2mins. Once the latter vanishes, triple disaster becomes useless…unless you blew it up.

Now conviction + element damage. I’d get at around 300-800 damage boost when using my element spell. Its decent but need a good setup and luck.

Oh right, I’m also a Pdoc with agny and arde dagger.

Yeah the lack of Cleric 2 is the problem to be honest. You only have good regen.
But i was just thinking of mainly soloing.

What about going cleric2, Krivis2, Pally3, Taoist ? Losing Krivis 3 will that be a big hit?

I’ll see how it goes anyway.
