Hey guys! So I’m using the ‘lightning empress’ build on tosbase, but the thing is, it says we should get DAINO to level 9, and ZALCAI to level 3. I’m thinking about maxing ZALCAI and leaving daino at around level 2. is this a bad idea? How effective is daino really for this build?
High lvl daino is not due to your own build having buffs, it’s party play. In a party setup daino is very valuable. But devs have to do something bout this buff limit especially after r8. Not everyone is a krivis. -.-
So long as buffs eat slots, daino will always remain relevant.
a single thauma+chrono can eat your buffslots, add priest into that.
then you realize that you are a swordsman. RAGGEEEEEE
but since you’re taoist, it matters very little to you, but it is important for your party members.
Be a swordman. Get a chrono thauma with reflect shield as well and archers that share swift step. Add a priest to that. Woohoo imc u just made krivis a mandatory class.
Dam son, krivis is only 1 out of 17 cleric classes, and cleric is only 1 of the 4 base classes. With higher content coming, they really gotta allow players to buy buff slots like the rank5 option. Or else… More team buffs and self buffs, thousands and thousands of silver every 3 minutes aint worth it for this lame mechanic
Not really; people have to set priorities for buff slots and communicate which buffs they need/want. There aren’t so many shareable buffs anyway, it’s just that many meta builds have classes included with 2+ party-wide buffs.
You can also manually cancel buffs by right-clicking on them ( I always do this when there’s a crazy Chronomancer/Pyromancer in the party with Quicken/Enchant Fire/Reflect Shield buffs which are all useless to me <_<).
But in general, every class can easily manage up to 7+ buffs (Wizard/Archer with Rank 5 extension + token =7; Cleric Swordsman can reach 9 buff slots without Daino). Mandatory are ± only Aspersion and (in the future) Agility, the rest can be filled as you like it with no real consequences whatever effects you might want. Some good buffs like Dievs statue-buffs are 2nd column-buffs, so they aren’t counted towards the buff limit.
Problematic are the semi-buffs like Counterspell and Safety Zone, which act like 1st column buffs when you’re in the AoE, so you might want to use Daino anyway.
It’s easy now to level a twink Cleric Pardoner for Daino scrolls anyway, you just have to level it to lvl 50 and then do the daily 3 dungeon/mercenary post runs until you hit Rank 6 where you can immediately craft lvl 10 Daino/Aukuras scrolls.
Do 3 dungeon run can cost more than 1 hour per day. You might buy some Daino scrolls and use them only when you party with specific classes. You can save your life time to do something else, or just do some farming for 1 hour per day.
This is the first time I’ve heard about this.

This info should stickied on every mid-end game guides for buff intensive classes.
