Talk to me guys

Hi all

I am close to quitting the game to the reason it lacks real end game content… while the game is graphically really good and pleasing to the eyes, all we have is endless farming to be better geared…ultimately to just farm more efficiently.

With the numerous builds we could do, that’s a selling point to the game as it makes us excited to do builds and experiment. But the downside is that if it’s too f*cked up, we are either stuck with it forever, or delete it, or buy more character slots. Then we all wonder why we see the same meta builds all around the place? People dont like to take chances experimenting because the amount of effort to do it is far more than the enjoyment it will give.

Players, like me, desperately want rank resets (again) because it gives us the freedom to perfect our builds. I like the game, I really do, but with it’s current state it is really difficult to keep veteran players to continue playing (most are bored AF), let alone encourage new players to the game with all the restrictions it has (1 week no market, token but optional, untradeable transcended gear etc)

Don’t get me wrong pls, I do have the capacity to “whale” the shiz out of this game, but what for? To look cute lol? Lately there’s just more RNG via Gacha and Leticia vs focusing on improving gameplay (not saying they are not)

I have seen a LOT of improvements since I played this game almost a year ago I think, but even as a casual player, I do not feel that the amount of “reward” to the amount of time I have to invest in the game is even worth it. I can only imagine the frustration of many veteran players who played a lot longer than me. Who invested a LOT more in yime, gear and money. I’d rather spend my money on shopping real clothes than Gacha my way in game, or work or spend quality time in real life than continously farm for better gear…just to become a more efficient farmer.

The game is getting better over the course of time, but I feel it is not meeting the expectations of a massive number of players.

Welcome to MMOs. IMO, no matter what MMO you play, in the end its always the same, grind to get better gears until new content/gears came. It’s an endless cycle. I just came to realize that. Used to complain shtz every chance I get but now I play TOS just to chill, don’t pressure myself anymore, just enjoy what it has to offer. Finally created the class build I wanted to play and just don’t give a f out of synergies no more. And at least for me I’m having more fun now than when I was actively grinding the f out of this game :joy: (atleast 1.5k hrs worth of doing rerolling, saalus runs, solo dungeon runs, dpk items hunting. but I went hiatus last October 2016 and just came back playing casually last June).

Bit out of topic but I shifted mainly to console gaming. The money I have spent so far on gaming on my PS4 (mostly the exclusives) was a whole lot worth it than when I was spending it on MMOs. No matter what platform you choose to play (PC, PS4, Xbox, Switch, etc.) I think your money is better spent on whatever AAA/top rated games are available out there, that is if you wish to spend it on gaming.

I prefer to buy some oldies in steam after -80% price (from 1997 to nowaydays). xD

At it’s current state ToS is a time-killing game. Just like Diablo3.
If you don’t have fun while killing your time in ToS - it’s better to quit and play something else. Really.

Good old Worms :two_hearts: plus the new ones~

I just don’t know… now 70% of my daily time spent ToSing is spent on attaching a bait to a tree branch, then Alt-tab for 2-3hrs to do something else.

Maybe it’s time to dust off my old games…

This is a good combination :3

This is a good free to play game too. Oldies ftw

I don’t even want to waste my electricity bills on that.

This~
While I do enjoy MMOs and can get excited for them, I don’t see the point of spending much in them. Spending to get ahead of others and stronger faster ? I don’t see the point. What do you have left then ? Wait for others to catch up to you.
Because that’s literally all you do in an MMO. They are all about constantly farming and upgrading: the devs will always add new items, new systems, new levels. You can never finish it at 100%. That’s part of what makes it both interesting and annoying.
I play MMOs mostly to chill, to play with people and face new challenges as a group, and for the cuteness of costumes.
If I want something I’ll truly enjoy because of the gameplay and the story, I play console games. There I can enjoy developed characters, interesting back stories and twist plots, solo-challenges, and such.

I just wish as an MMO TOS had more puzzles and adventure, it’s quite linear.
And while it’s normal for TOS to have farming/grinding since it’s an MMO, it lacks real end-game content or “chill” contents to keep people around for a long time.
Currently we don’t really have chill content (Fishing is now, but it’s full AFK…) and then you farm for gear. You farm for gear so you can be able to farm something else for gear. But the only reason for doing that is if you just enjoy getting everything in a game, if you’re a hardcore gamer at heart, as there are no PvP or anything to make you need the better gear.
